Video poker AP vs Blackjack Ap?
now i am wondering which is the better play in terms of EV?assuming i had two players, one for BJ and other for VP , which one would be more successful? does anyone know who out weighs who? i never heard anyone losing 10 grand playing .25 machine deuces wild but i have heard BJ players blowing through 4 grand in 4 days with a decent size bank due to bad variance. id take the worst variance their is on a VP machine oppose to the BJ tables.i can't really find the answer for this on the web, although i look at my wife shes + in the VP game so far hitting progressive jackpots, and i read on other forums people losing 10 grand doing everything right and fighting with the pit bosses and what notso yea if anyone can tell me points or percentages who has more successful #'s that would be most informative for me

Steve, you should ask Bill Ryan. He's a former Black Jack player and can give you a better answer.

i want to say VP players for one they can hit royal after royal early in, they can play positive games over all and no be bothered by any heat and began with a small bankroll not like MIT 300k or 30k$ just to sit down i mean everyone wins and loses in gambling but seems higher in BJ realmSo Bill give me the answer who has more #'s in the gambling realm BJ or VP?

I'll take a true blackjack AP (Not just a card counter) over ANY VP pro all day long.

Then you must have unlimited roll followed by little to no heat. Id take o.76 any day oppose to the cat n mouse game

If you think VP players don't get heat or barred, you're wrong!

Is there any reason not to play both? I've seen James Grosjean betting on the Big Six. It wasn't because he was feeling lucky. It was because he determined at the moment he had an advantage.
Play when and where you have an advantage.
Don't play when you don't.
Or be a recreational player, do whatever you want, whenever you want and spend a lot of time giving out bad information if that is your schtick.

I agree with billryan. Play where where You find the edge. For me that has been (in descending order of profitability)
Blackjack tournaments
Spanish 21 tournaments
Roulette tournaments
Baccarat tournaments
Spanish 21 (card counting)
Blackjack (card counting)
In terms of which opportunities I find most often, that would be card counting. Pretty much every casino has a playable game.
There are no positive VP opportunities in my area, so I don't play it, except when I get free play as part of other promotions.
