Peppermill's mystery tier credit system
Does anyone have a clue how many dollars it takes to earn 1 tier credit playing VP at The Peppermill, Reno? I read on an old post on another site that it is a bit of a mystery system - some machines earn points at different rates than others. I've asked at the rewards club and they just shrugged. My husband and I played $ VP there for 4 hours and only earned 40 credits. Huh?????

From VPFree
$47 Coin-In = about 1 Point on many games (may be $75/point on NSUD, Big Split, others?; may be as high as $150/pt for some players and games ... reports vary)
Cashback = None
Bounce Back Free Play: Yes
Earned Comps = From .01% to .23% on the better video poker. Others are around 0.4%
Discretionary Comps: ???
Marketing Comps: Yes - room offers no longer charge to your account
Comps (points) will not expire as long as you play once in 13 months
Slot club day runs from: ??? to ???
Seems to be a bit of a mystery like you said.

Thanks for your response. We're now checking our points before and after playing to see if we can find VP machines which pay higher tier credits. Wednesdays currently offer 4X tier.
