My wife and I decided to go to the casino. I went to play video poker and found the best video poker was 7/5 and thought no way. So went to the black jack table. I ended up playing for about six hours. Started with a 100 and never went below that starting point. I was playing at a five dollar table and would push if I got a win. It was up and down for the whole time but when I finally got up to leave I was up $55. I asked for a comp for us for supper and got a thirty dollar comp as well. So I figured this was a $85 dollar day. Best part was the wife ended up $25 at the end of the day as well.
I hope you all have a great day playing at the casino!

Now, how much value do you put on the 6 hours of play at that Blackjack table? There are times that just the relaxing time spent playing at a $5 table is is worth quite a bit to me! I do wish the closer Oklahoma casinos had Blackjack that didn't cost $.50 a hand to play! I have to drive 3 hours to get to a decent table so I don't play that often.
But, your note above Wilcoxfun, underlines that there is more than VP in a casino when paytables suck. Way to go!

Just being away from work and the city is worth the cost of gas to and from the casino. If the paytables ain't happening, I'll look elsewhere as there is a lot to do in a casino besides VP!

I needed to get away from work and playing cards is one of my most relaxing things I can do. I enjoyed the table with good players and never did get a great shoe so I was never playing too much money. I was impressed with the cards the dealer got as a 2, 3, and 4 were going to beat you all day.
