West Wendover NV?
My wife and I are planning our Spring VP trip and decided to stop by West Wendover NV. We were there some years ago and from what's on the Internet it looks like it has built up quite a bit since then. Any input? Thanks!

We stayed and played at Peppermill in Wendover. Really enjoyed the casino and had a good meal at Milano Cafe. The VP was ok but the machines had nice seating and lots of room. We had came across the salt flats on the west side on Salt Lake City and into Wendover. Just spent one night on our way to Reno-Lake Tahoe so did not get to any other casinos.

We found West Wendover on a road trip about 5 years ago. We were visiting the Bonneville Salt Flats for a race when we saw the sign and stopped to checked it out. Back then it was pretty seedy, but it had a certain charm. Glad to see they built a Peppermill there. The Reno Peppermill is one of our favorites.

I found the salt flats extremely boring. The first few miles were ok as it was different but then it kept going and going. Soon as you enter Wendover you leave the flats and into the hills.

Can a guy reasonably conceivably stay/play quarters in Wendover for a week for $1000 as a new club with no comps in Jan or Feb????

If you stay away from big pot shots and play conservatively, you will most likely come back with money. I usually budget $1,500 a week for trips like that and I can't remember when I needed it all.

Sounds good...Unlike most, I appreciate all geographic areas....winter high desert, as well.
Thanks for info...maybe I'll have a story to tell in a couple months....

Do you have to pay for your room out of that 1000?

Then you might need more money.....I picked a week in January on their calendar and the price of the room would be well over 500, plus food. If you only gamble on VP your comps on that small amount would not be much.
