Las Vegas Video Poker Infrastructure

Post by DaBurglar »

Since my visits to Las Vegas are now extremely infrequent compared to what they used to be a decade ago, I appeal to those of you who frequent the city often and who know a wide variety of casinos and their setups.....How many Vegas casinos, and which specific properties, are now set up with SERVER - Based Video Poker systems???   As opposed to the "old" way where each game/machine is a stand alone operation with its own chip, etc?Obviously the Caesars (CET) properties have servers, but who else in LV does?In case you are wondering, it is my considered opinion that it is in the player's interest to try and avoid server based casinos and instead opt for the old chip based machines.

Well, that is your opinion. I've had several nice recent outings at Harrah's Joliet (gee a CET property with server based games). This stretches back a while, even when billyjoe came up to visit and I was able to spend some time with him; that particular outing I hit a royal and a little while later I was dealt quad 4's on 10 play for a very nice hand pay.

Think what you want people.

And I see you still get angered every time someone has an opposite opinion than yours, huh?

As long as casinos obey Nevada law, server based gaming and non-server based gaming makes no difference to the player's results. Slashing paytables can make a difference though.

Getting back from my Vegas trip, I didn't do a ton of searching, but at least the machines I did play had no downgrades. Now I gotta motivate myself to write up a report!

Now I gotta motivate myself to write up a report! Me too, for our 16 day VP trip.

Actually, I'm motivated, but lacking the time. That's one of the problems with being retired - you're too busy.

Oh baloney, you're delusional enough to think people actually believe what you just wrote....you were not simply "expressing a different opinion", anymore than I was "reacting" to a opposite opinion. Your phoniness is mind boggling in it's depth.

I would tend to agree vman with your assumption regarding Nevada vp integrity and, therefore, it should not matter if it's server or single chip machines. My opinion stated earlier is based solely on past experience playing the three AC casinos with servers, all of whom belong to CET. Anyone who has played at these AC casinos in the past couple years since they went to servers knows that there are days when you cannot hit anything at all, no matter what you do or play....the whole casino seems to dry up simultaneously, all games everywhere.

Still, I'm curious to what extent Las Vegas has gone server

DaBurglar if CET properties in AC and Joliet have gone to server based systems, what would that lead you to believe in Las Vegas?

Why would you agree with what Vman wrote when it clearly flies opposite of what you said in your originating post here?

I WAS expressing a different opinion than yours DaBurglar; unlike you I don't think the server based systems are crooked.

Again, I have an opposite view than yours and this angers you. Get over yourself windbag...

You have serious reading comprehension skill deficiency.... I don't give a flying fornication about you, your opinions or anything, but clearly you still have a serious weed up your ....concerning ME. Tough.

The anger is all you, and if u try to deny it that just reinforces the already established fact that you are a delusional liar.

You're never going to get whatever you are after Ted, vis-a-vis ME...why can't you be satisfied that I rarely come around here anymore?

Edited to add, it'll be another 3-4 days before I come back to this forum again so try and cook up a non-weak "last word", you've got time.
