Who Now Has The Best Players Club In Las Vegas For Locals?

Post by Sea Lion »

Since Boyd pretty much shot themselves in the foot with their revamped club, who now boasts of the best video poker friendly club with the best comps/ benefits for LV locals? I am leaning back towards Station Casinos.

You might be right because Stations also has some full pay. I don't think Stations likes winners very much or at least they did not used to.

What about AcePlay with Stratosphere and AZ Charlies ?

One place that has really treated me well is the Downtown Grand. I have been a Boyd player for years but might give the Grand more play.

The D/Golden Gate also give me tons of offers.

I will be in Vegas in 4 days and again for a week in October. Both of these stays will be with Boyd as I am on an offer of free rooms and a few tournaments.

After this I will see what offers I get and decide where my future play will be.

I walked all the way down to the stratosphere because I heard they had good video poker machines. Very disappointed with the machines, not to mention the place is a dump.

The Strat was only mentioned for the players club. The VP there is dismal.

The Strat is a dump, for sure, and I wouldn't walk in that neighborhood, day or night!

Very impressive . . . you joined this forum 2 1/2 years ago, and this was your first post. :) ;)

I agree, the Strat isn't a destination on my list, I've never gambled there. I do get comedy club tickets for $5 a pair (no fees, just $5 all in), and I still can't convince myself to go there. :)

Stations just mailed out their Passport to Vegas, with over $3000 in coupons. Lots of bogos and matchplays. I'm not a big Stations guy, but this will go into my glove box.

By the way, the Strat has a fun comedy/magic show called Red Neck Comedy, and a great lounge on the 107th floor. Neighborhood isn't that bad, but there is nothing right there worth walking to. The Arts District is nearby.

I took the Deuce from the strip to downtown area last time I was there. It goes right by the Strat. I didn't stop, but the base of the tower is pretty impressive. Looking up at the tower is pretty jaw dropping, too. The only other bldg in Vegas that compares in terms of jaw droppedness is the Luxor pyramid.

Green valley ranch in Henderson. I like the fact that unlike other hotels you do not need to use up points before they will comp.
