Stations- Red Rock Bankruptcy

The latest bankruptcy filing for Stations Casinos has put Red Rock dead center as the crown jewel in the new organization. Will be interesting to see how the plan proceeds. Looks like a case of (Stations) too big - too quick when a financial comes at the worst time.

From the Casino Times article:

"If the plan is approved, Red Rock Resort, Palace Station, Sunset Station and Boulder Station would be taken over by investment banks Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan. The debt on the four properties would be reduced from $2.475 billion to $1.6 billion. "

"The remaining (Station) properties would be sold by the court to satisfy bondholders and other lenders."

In another article Station a spokeperson says player points are safe.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed that things work out for one of our favorites.

You and me Eduardo.   Wish I could fly out this weekend and play there. Of all the casinos we've played in the US and Canada by far it is our favorite all-time casino. The staff is wonderful, the location awesome, the mountain/pool view rooms great, and the VP is fantastic.   I have yet to have a year playing there where I didn't end up on the positive side of the win/loss.

Good luck on your upcoming trip. Hit a RF! Better yet hit one for you and one for us.

That means Green Valley Ranch is the crown jewel of the casinos scuttled to the other lenders in the bankruptcy?

I just went here for the first time on Wednesday. What a nice casino with a great staff. Didn't come out positive on vp but did do well on the craps table. I did get 2 back to back 4 to rf, but never hit one.

We saw an article about RR and the station casino debt, takeover etc. on our last trip. Tough times for Vegas...I sure hope my points are safe as I have a lot and intend on using them for food on our month stay this winter...The "M" is also selling off a lot of debt and making changes on the casino floor...Lots of machines being moved and shifted around..They took out the free drink area...People were coming in and filling thermoses....I'll be interested to see how the floor pans out when the remodel is finished..They still have the best food in town. I hope these next elections will change the environment in our country and get things on the right track for the economy...That disposable income that keeps casinos alive is getting less and less disposable.

Going to Henderson for Turkey day with friends and staying at Green Valley Ranch.
Any good VP machines to look for? The last time I stayed there I got hooked on Crazy fore poker. Must have spent a lot of time at that table as they comp’d the room this trip. I think they are getting desperate I counted have left that much money there could I? Massage girl in the sport book maybe but poker nahhh.

I've linked vpfree2 which we always check before going to a casino to find the best VP and the vpfree2 Green Valley link. Make sure you check the "listing" for machine locations.

Good luck.

Larry, thanks for the links! I'm going to Vegas today and staying (comped) at RR.  But, I wanted to go to GVR and work on getting 'hard winnings'  and some comps for next trip.

Good luck at GVR. Hit a RF or two!
