Michigan Casino Trip

Back from our 3 day 2 night Michigan Casino bus trip. First stop - Firekeepers. Thought casino was pretty & the buffet not so good. Played 25 cent single line DDB vp along the wall near the nonsmoking area and lost. Hubby won back some of our money on an "upright" Deal or No Deal slot. Left casino down $160. On to 2 night stay at Soaring Eagle. Played on upright vp machines near Talon Sports Bar - table games behind us on the right. On third hand I was dealt one ace-got other 3 aces with the kicker. Hubby was dealt 4-6's. Found 10-6 DDB 25 cent near Slot Operations/Beverage Operations where I got 4-3's but no kicker. Played DDB 5 cent in nonsmoking area. Hubby held 2 aces and got the other 2 with the kicker. Last day stopped at 4 Winds in New Buffalo. Played on Game King slant type vp machines near high limit room. Hubby held 2 deuces and got other 2 with a kicker. Both of us had a couple 4 of a kind. All in all, no royals and a few kicker hands. Won back our bankroll plus $436. Not life changing but we live to play another day. Thanks for all your advice.

at least you didnt come how broke!!you really have to scout the machines, the multi hands give you a better shot to win, single hands you can play longer!! so there are the advantages and disadvantages for bankroll!!

Won back our bankroll plus $436. Not life changing but we live to play another day. Thanks for all your advice.Thank you for the interesting trip report, mogee! I consider breaking even to be a big win and you did better.Fri and Sat of intensive play at Windsor Caesar's netted me $7K in six hands. This included one $4K royal on 5 play DDB $ machine when I saved the Q of diamonds! The odds must be astronomical! (a challenge to the math gurus reading this) All but one $500 win were on the same machine where I had hit a quarter royal on a recent visit. It figures that machine, and it's twin, is often in use for very long sessions. You do not want to hear about the losing hands and lesser wins in between those hands. Windsor wanted some of my wins back but I do have many bankrolls for future trips there.  I had not read my mailed offer.  It was a fluke that I swiped my card at the kiosk and now have $50 in Macy's gift cards for  Christmas.

PS. We enjoy the comped entertainment, rooms and restaurants at Windsor Caesar's. Whenever we are heading there, my mantra is "just play quarters and that way I will theoretically lose less!".

TY, mogee and Boops! I enjoy reading your forum posts. Keep on entertaining us with your casino trips! Windsor is paranoid/serious about not allowing pix taking in their casino.  It's okay, no camera with me and I do not know how to post pix here. However, nearby addicts might be willing to take a pix for you and send it to your email, in friendlier casinos!

sounds like you had a good time! Those of us that live near Fire Keepers call it Money Keepers! Soaring Eagle advertises Certified Hot! so maybe they are Four Winds is probably the best of them all, but the last time we were there it was not a pretty sight We went to Fire Keepers two weeks ago and lost, lost and lost, guess we should have driven the hour and a half to Four Winds, but we decided to take the shorter drive of 45 minutes to Fire Keepers, guess it just wasn't our day        And Marie you are very lucky sounds like all the time, how do you do it I want to sit by you!!!!! maybe your luck will rub off on me!! Anyway sounds like you had a good time.

Interesting report, mendon, better luck next time! Alas, we have lost at Four Winds the three times we have been there. Soaring Eagle is very iffy for me but so convenient when heading UP NORTH! I won the first time at FireKeepers and lost on the second visit after getting some good hits. On the up side, we have four casinos much closer to us than the above. Until Windsor last weekend, I claimed Greektown was my favorite around here as I have had better hits there and decent pay tables. Wish me luck as we are staying at Greektown on Sat night following an annual Christmas dinner dance at the RenCen.

Hey Marie, I am heading over to Windsor for a comp'd Friday night tomorrow. Where are the 2 quarter machines you speak of. Figured I could hit them early Saturday morning if they are taken up Fri night. Great hit and good luck at Greektown!!
