Thanks Ted. Those are the best pay tables in all the Gila River Casinos right now. They will have to do better to retain their customers though. The new casino being built over by the Cardinal Stadium will suck them dry if they don't.

Thanks for the update on Lone Butte CK. We plan to stop by sometime this week, though we never play above $0.25 level. Mostly go there for bingo.

Would it be worth it for me to make the 4 1/2 hour one way drive to Phoenix to check out a few of the area casinos when I'm in Las Vegas August 20 -24 in a couple weeks? Or should I just stay in Las Vegas? I mean; it is VEGAS baby!!!

I don't believe it is worth it just to check out the casinos. They are small, little else on-site, and very locally oriented. We play here because we live here and they are convenient. If you come to metro Phoenix for other reasons, might as well check them out. BTW, most have little, if any, non-smoking areas and ventilation is, in most cases, not good.

Hey Tedlark,
No it would not be worth it... If I were you, I would check out the local casino's outside of the strip in LV, or maybe even visit Laughlin. The river is nice and the payouts are better. Great luck!

I've been to Laughlin a couple times and it wasn't my cup of Texas tea. I'll probably force myself to stay in the Las Vegas area the whole time I'm out there; gee I wonder how I'll keep myself busy. I've got my dinners planned and I was giving thought to maybe seeing a show or two. Thanks to you and Bill for the heads up on AZ and good luck to you. Ted

Ted: Don't want to discourage you from visiting metro Phoenix. You may want to come out in March when it is still cold in Chicagoland and watch s Cubs or White Sox spring training game.
