These forums are great!

I wanted to see if anybody has actuall knowledge of the larger strip casinos that have decent pay tables.  I am going to be staying at the Venetian and I normally play $5.00 DDB, I usually can not get to the off strip hotels becouse of entertaining the family during the stay,  I can however get to other strip hotels for a few hours.  I know of the VPfree site.  I usually play at Treasure Island and Mirage (the ddb pay table is 9/6 or maybe 9/5) how is the Venetian? anything good around that area Wynn? Ceasers? Harrahs? Paris? - I like playing 1-100 bet machines at Treasure at $20 per bet and also play $5.00 vp/  Please let me know what you recommend and thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks

the Strip pretty well sucks as far as good VP at the major casinos is concerned. the Venetian was where (along with the Wynn, Bellagio, etc.) where I saw the worse pay schedules. Would you believe 6/5 JoB?!
The Casino Royale next door to the Venetian wasn't too bad. I was there a couple of weekends ago and found two 50 hand multi game machines. I actually made some money playing at one penny per.
I also found about four "Optimum" machines at Hooters that was basically full pay or close to it. Go in the right front door and they are the first machines to the right.
Also there are shuttles that go from the Strip over to the Palms where there is good VP. Once you get there you can call the Palms and they can tell you when and where.
Have a good time and avoid the bad pay schedules. There is no need to waste your money on those. Look around as there are places to play. You just have to work to find them and that can be part of the fun. It's kinda like looking for gold!!

I agree Casino Royale past Harrahs is not bad.  A couple of years ago I sat at a .25 50 play and walked out with $11,000.00.  They aso have some great 10 play in the back.  Harrahs is ok, but be careful, it is feast or bust.  I prefer doumtown Benions or 4 Queens, no strip for about 2 years because I prefer playing 1$ and 5.....Good Luck

I like silverton's the best. Agood number of decent machines over there in front of the restrooms and the MiCasa restaurant. The aquarium has to be seen to be believed. I have also stayed there twice. the rooms are really nice and not pricey.

Stratosphere had a carousal of 10/6 DDB and a carousal of 10/7 DB in July, don't know if they are still there, I don't remember them there before that in January. Will be there next week and report back when I get back.

Again, South Point has a bunch of slant tops and uprights, most are MG/MD variety so you have a vast amount of choices. 8 mins. south of Mandalay bay. Good food, good VP and good paytables! Go to the strip for shows and boxing. Do your VP elsewhere! ! !

I like South Point also, but maybe that's because it's close to my house. However, it has 5-play 9/6 DDB at the .50 and $ levels which may be of interest to KOPIER.  I also believe they have $5, $10 and $25 DDB in the high limit room.
It's pretty accessible from anywhere on the strip these days since they opened an exit on I-15 right next to South Point.

Getting that dedicated offramp took a while it sure beats getting off north or south and having to backtrack unless you're shadowman. Silverton is nice too but something about it that I dont care for. Maybe ghosts of Boomtown or Gold Spike.

Stratosphere no longer has those machines. Best game there is 8/5 Bonus Poker.
