Oklahoma casinos
I understand that Oklahoma has more casinos than any other state except Nevada. Some should have good video poker. They are all Indian casinos. It is a very competitive environment today. Have you played video poker at any of these casinos?

I am in Oklahoma travelling to different casinos at this time. Today we are at Osage in Tulsa area. You are right about Indian casinos. As far as video poker goes pay tables are not too bad. No full pay but the best has been 9-6-5 double bonus and 9-5 double bonus. I have seen triple triple bonus at high 99%.
So far have been to 7 casinos and will visit another 7 or 8 in the state. They have a few large casinos in Tulsa , Grant and in Durant and of course the biggest casino in the world Winstar.
We will go to Louisiana and then on to Biloxi before settling in Florida for a few months.
So I would say Oklahoma is one of the better states for video poker. However I have not seen any 9-6 Jacks yet.

Just going to have to beam the gang up to Mohegan Sun for some 9/6 quarter Jacks while they last. Only on Single line games though. I think the best multi line is 9/5. I would love visit to some of the areas you guys are traveling to. . Family matters keeping me fairly close to home for awhile.

Olds you keep talking Mohegan Sun and you might talk me into it someday.
OMT ya we seem to do more travelling than staying home these days. I am 71 and want to do all this travelling while still able. I am getting to the point that driving is more of a chore the older I get. We often drove west to Vegas, Laughlin area for some of the winter but I think those drives are behind us now. Still enjoy Florida but again may start flying and rent a car.
Of course casino hopping is a big part of the trip and we so enjoy visiting new casinos. Oklahoma is new to us other than Winstar. In Oklahoma we had to pay for every room but once we leave this state we get free rooms for all the Boyd and Caesar properties. We plan our trips that way. Here is our extended free room list after Oklahoma: Horseshoe Bossier City 2 nights…Horseshoe Lake Charles 2 nights…Imperial Palace Biloxi 6 nights (3 on wife’s card and 3 on mine). That is 10 nights free in a row. Then we go into Lakeland Florida to stay at my sons place until early December. Our son and his wife will only be around for about a week as the live in Canada.
This type of travel is not for everyone but we love it. Stay healthy and live live to the fullest everyone before it is too late.

Be optimistic and keep on going. I am 10 years older than you and can still manage to get around pretty well.
It should be quite obvious that I totally agree. Use it before you lose it!

I have tried Winstar a couple of times.
The comps are very enticing. Two days free stay, food and bonus play.
While the DB $1.00 payouts are 9/7/5 I found I was burning thru my bankroll at a very rapid pace.
I consider myself a fair player at an average rate of 90% of perfect play with an EV of approximately 98%.
At other casinos I am able to have extended play with my bankroll.
Something just didn't feel right at Winstar. I did not hear the bells and whistles to player hitting jackpots and I never saw anyone getting the attendant payout.
Has anyone else had this experience or should I just think I just take this as an anomaly?

There are a whole lot of people who don't want to believe there is something going on at any one casino. If you play a whole lot like I do you see things that are not the once off deal that can happen. Most people don't play much to notice things.888Bob wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 9:54 amI have tried Winstar a couple of times.

May of 2023 here at a Michigan Indian run casino, my wife playing slots hits 5 hand pays in 4 hours. She might hit 6 to 8 in 12 months.
8:48am $2,390
9:50am $1,384
10:30am $3,200
10:58am $2,540
12:47pm $1,467
I found her waiting for the 2nd hand pay, now not out of the norm right? Wrong as we look around the gaming floor there is lights blinking everywhere. People waiting to get paid. Now on a busy Friday or Saturday night that might seem normal. It was very early on a Saturday it was slow not many players.
The industry wants you all to believe it's all random, now 25 years ago I would say yes not with today's technology. These casino's now run the newer machines off one central sever. Wife and I think there central sever got away from them that day like they might have been making some kind of adjustment and the jackpots got away from them.
I do not know, nor will we ever know how a central sever can affect Video Poker.
The central sever info is all over the internet below is just a part of what I found.
Let’s delve into the fascinating world of casino central servers and their role in the operation of slot machines.
1. Central Servers and Slot Machines:
o Central servers play a crucial role in managing and controlling slot machines within a casino. These servers are responsible for coordinating various aspects of gameplay, ensuring fairness, and maintaining the integrity of the gaming experience.
o When you sit down at a slot machine, you’re interacting with a device that communicates with the central server. Here’s how it works:
2. Adjusting Odds and Payouts:
o One of the main attractions of central servers is their ability to adjust the odds of winning on slot machines dynamically. Casinos can remotely fine-tune the payout percentages based on factors like the time of day, player traffic, and overall casino performance.
o For example, during peak hours, casinos might set slightly lower odds to balance out the increased player activity. Conversely, during quieter times, they may enhance the odds to attract more players.
3. Regulating Payouts:
o Casinos can indeed set their central servers to regulate payouts at specific intervals. For instance:
On the Hour: They might adjust payouts every hour.
On the Half-Hour: Similarly, they could make changes every half-hour.
o These adjustments are part of the casino’s strategy to optimize revenue while maintaining player engagement.
4. Key Terms:
o RTP (Return to Player): This percentage represents the average amount of money returned to players over time. Central servers influence RTP by adjusting the odds.
o RNG (Random Number Generator): The heart of slot machines, the RNG ensures that each spin’s outcome is genuinely random.
5. Expert Insights:
o If you’re curious about the inner workings of slot machines, I recommend checking out this video by Cowboy Slots. Experts discuss how central servers function and the intricate technological processes involved1.
o Additionally, Professor Slots provides valuable insights into who controls slot machine odds and how central servers impact gameplay23.
Remember, while central servers allow for flexibility and optimization, they’re ultimately designed to provide an entertaining and fair gaming experience for players. So next time you pull that lever or press those buttons, know that there’s a sophisticated system behind the scenes, ensuring the excitement of every spin!
