I am going to be in Detroit next week and wondered which casino would be the best for video poker. MGM - MotorCity - or Greektown ?

I am just repeating what I have heard others say, because I have never played in Detroit, but from what I have heard the casinos there are in a situation where the demand exceeds the supply, and thus they are not very player-oriented. Things could have changed, it was several years ago that I heard this, but one of the casinos was actually charging a parking fee for players. Also, I am not sure but I believe it was a Detroit casino that had a woman evicted for playing a quarter she found in the coin tray.

Regular players need to spend their money with casinos that appreciate their business. There are too many competitive markets in this country to waste time and money playing where the casino does not appreciate you. Of course Vegas is very competitive, and also the Mississippi Coast and Tunica are competitive. Atlantic City ought to be competitive, so what's the problem there. Cherokee is neither competitive or regulated, so my one visit there was my last. I have played a few times in the Chicago area and I have found a few competitive casinos and a few that are actually highway robbery for the player. If I go into a casino and see less than reasonable pay tables.... I LEAVE!! And if I ever went to a casino that wanted to charge me for parking, it's bye-bye.

Folks, if you think you cannot play in Vegas, think again. There are some terrific air fares if you will only get on the internet and search them out, along with great deals for rooms. Go to Vegas, stay off the strip, and find out what competitive video poker is all about!!!!!!!!!

All casinos in AC charge to park, but if you have a players card at the Harrah's casinos you park for free.  Borgata charges $5 unless you have a Black Label card-not in my lifetime.  This is New Jersey, after all.
