DDAF Table

I was curious about the quality of this game. My carousel neighbor hit big last night as I did my usual bridesmaid routine. He said he hits on this game a lot. He was playing like a boss and appeared to have a BR that could choke a horse to fund his safaris.

It's a 9/6 DDB variant, but with special pays for J/Q/K ranks instead of 2/3/4. Because high cards are more commonly held during play, EV goes up to almost 99.5% instead of the 99.0% for DDB.
I think you previously mentioned 8/5 Bonus A&F, probably on those same machines at Harrah's. Same concept, but less of an EV boost (only about +0.1%) because quads are less valuable in Bonus than DDB.

So if that's correct, this guy is getting a lot of bang for his buck. All the excitement and entertainment of a full menu of quad variants with the return of full pay JOB. Having his cake and eating it too. What's not to like? I just do vanilla 8/5 BP at Caesars.
