If you are playing a VP game such as 9/6 JoB, why would you choose to play single dear vs double, triple, ten times, etc. play?

I am not sure but I don't believe you can find 9/6 JOB in a multiline format.
Multiline machines usually have bad pay-tables (correct me if I am wrong I am not a multiliner).
Have avoided them, based on my belief.
Right or wrong?

I’ve definitely seen triple play 9/6… Southpoint, Barona, Peppermill to name a few. And in many high limit areas for sure.

None at Mohegan Sun in Ct that I know of. They do still have 9/6 Single line Quarters though.

None even close to full-pay where I play.
What is so attractive about multi-line that makes eating a 1-1/2 to 3% higher house advantage playable?
Sure single line JOB can bore you to tears at times. But the fact that I can have A shot at advantage play makes up for that.
At least for me.

If that disparity prevailed at all casinos, then I would be forced to play single line only.

Those are the real world where I play.
Have plenty of single line JOB at full pay, DUECES at 99.73% I believe it is, and a better DDB which is too much variant for me.
Do you find full pay multiline available in Vegas?
Even if available, don't they just multiply the pain or or gain? what"s the point? Certainly more excitement.

To simplify the analysis, suppose you're dealt 4 to a royal. Which opportunity would you prefer?
(1) [single line, $1 denom] one chance at $4000, or
(2) [multi line, 10c denom], ten chances at $400
I think most players would choose option 1 because they're trying to hit jackpots. I would choose option 2 every day, and twice on Monday.
As for availability in Nevada, it is hard to find good multi. Sometimes I have to accept single, but I'm not happy about it.

I was a long way from a math wizard even before my mind started to go.
But I believe the EV of options #1 and #2 are the same. If this is correct, I believe the same would be true for any dealt hand.
$4000/47= $85.11
$400/47x10= $85.11
You ARE a math wizard so correct me if wrong, again.
Please don't take my questioning the wrong way dinghy.
Simply a quest for knowledge, and you have led me to the point of definitely willing to try the game if i could find a fairly decent pay-table (assuming my math is correct).

Yes, same pay schedule implies same EV and strategy. That's assuming a 5-coin bet per hand in both cases. These days some of the multi line have bonus features available for bets of 6 to 10 coins.
