#1 seems to be fact as far as my playing has went over the years. I look at that rule as saying if you go 10 times 3 will be winning trips and 7 will be losers. I of corse went far more than 10 times but the 70% figure makes perfect sense to me.
 
#2 should be considered law. My gambling bankroll has nothing to do with my personal finances the two should not be mixed.
 
#3, I do it all the time if I'm ahead I do play the $5.00 VP machines a little but never play max. I've never won much money doing it but its still fun.
 
#4, I hate when the casinos do this crap it draws a crowd for sure but I could care less about getting a $7.00 patio grill or a Elvis gold coin. Everytime I've been to the casino and they were having a drawing for a car or giving away cash I've walked out a loser. I hate the whole atmosphere at the casino when they do these things, people standing around clogging the isles doing nothing more than taking up space. I can't count the amount of times I have had to ask people if they were'nt playing the VP machine I would like to and they get pissed because I took thier seat. The ones that are playing are playing at the $1.00 level and pushing off one credit at a time (pet peave of mine). Whats so funny about this is I play the $5.00 machines and never play max credits only difference is the $5.00 VP machines are located in the high dollar area and its like a ghost town there most of the time.

#6, I have determination but do lack discipline and many times do exactly what he says not to do and I have'nt fared to bad. See rule #5, you never know. 

I just finished playing ten 100-coin sessions (simulated).  I start a new session when I lose the 100 coins or start a new session when I win 100 coins.  I did lose on 7 of those sessions.  The three times I at least doubled my 100 coin buyin for the session, I won 150 coins....all three times.  But then, I play down to the nearest 50 coin boundary.  Overall, I am "down" on these 10 sessions 300 coins out of 1000 coins placed at risk.
 
It's interesting to note that during this group of sessions, the lowest number of hands played was 39 and the most played in one session was 273.  The average was 97 or therebouts.
 
I was playing a high variance game in 9/6 DDB (not full pay).
 
During those sessions, only the last one included quads (9's).  The other two winning sessions were mostly won with Full Houses.
 
I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but it is not unlike many of my casino sessions.  It all depends on the quads.  If they are falling more frequently than in this 1000 hands, then I win, and if they don't, I lose.  But at my level of play, I can afford a 300 coin lose knowing that I'll be hitting a run of 300 coin wins for the same amount of play.  At least that seems to be my trend.
 
I would say that managing money for your sessions is critical.  It does not take Einstein to figure out that you should not be gambling with money not specifically set aside for that endevor.  Professionals would still fall within that criteria though they would obviously have a lot more assets dedicated to  their career goals!

One of the things that really gripes me and makes me wonder where we're headed as a society is when people buy groceries with their gambling money. Total irresponsibility!

It's no joke. Laugh about if you like, but wait until you meet someone so addicted to eating three square meals a day that he will actually raid his own family's gambling money...that's sick.
