Read your article on Quick Quad Quiz... what would be the optimum hold on 9/6 DDB if you are dealt 4443° (where ° is any number except 4 or 3)? Thank you.

I'm not sure Bob is around so I'll try to help. Holding the 3 gives you 4 possible draws of the ace and one 4 where the 3 automatically provides a kicker. That is the best hold except when the 5th card is already the ace and you have a pat QQ.
 


Note that holding a 2 is not quite as good as a 3 or an ace as the 4th card since you only have 3 chances to draw another 2 to fill out the QQ.
