A recent post got me thinking about a Vegas trip. I searched for cheap flights and got a $400 base round trip price from Orlando to Vegas. Is this about the best I can do?

Free CET junket to Laughlin. Rent car and drive over to Vegas for the day or spend the night if you are so inclined.
This way you can experience Vegas and Laughlin on the same trip. It is less than 90 minute drive. We have found that Avis at the airport is the best place to rent a car. They will come pick you up and drive you back to casino when you get back.
The first time we went, before we established play history, we paid about $300 total for 2 of us which included airfare, room, free shuttle from airport.
They also deliver your luggage to the room for you. Additionally on the flight you get free Wi-Fi and you each get a complimentary alcoholic beverage along with a snack.
If you like playing at CET properties it may be worth checking into.

Ahhh! The good old days. I remember driving to Sky Harbor (Phx) Walking up to the gate and paying a Hughes Airwest ticket agent $90.00 for two round trip tickets to Vegas. Get on the plane and have 10 minutes to spare before departure. Look at us now.

We did slightly better than that. Total for two people, Buffalo to Las Vegas and return, was $696.
If you watch Southwest's website often, you will see that the prices go up and down like a yoyo. When you see something that looks good - you have to jump on it.

We get free flight and room offers from the Beau Rivage in Biloxi every month. Wonder if we can use these as a way to get offers to Vegas as well?

As a NOIR, I get an offer each month from The Beau for a 3-4 night suite stay at one of MGM's Vegas properties, plus $1000 in FreePlay, $750 in Food Credits and some show tickets, but that offer does not include airfare. Check with a host at The Beau, and based on your play there, see what they can do for you in Vegas.

A guy at work told me that airlines vary their prices day to day and hour to hour. We were going to Hawaii last year and just by watching the fares for a few weeks we got a idea of what they were doing and saved 650$ for the 4 of us. Peek look times seemed to be more expensive. Also booking right when a flight was offered or last minute were more expensive.
