A few friends of mine want to get together on a pool to play VP in Louisiana.
Looks like there will be ten persons in the group pool. With everyone contributing 500 Dollars.
We just want to get together and have a good time with a chance of winning a few bucks...
I've been trying to figure out a way to make it so everyone has the most playing time possible.
I have never done this before.
And frankly it's tough making it as fair as possible for everyone with ten players.
So here is what I came up with.
The game version is going to be Bonus Poker...
The person playing will use his players club card.
If he gets a hand pay he will use his social but will have the casino pull the taxes from the hand pay.
Will have 5000 dollars in the pool. So we can play two 2 dollar denomination machines at the same time.
Will run the first cycle of 250 dollars per person, which is 2500 dollars.
Each person will play till the counter goes to 0 or the counter gets up to 500 credits.
If the person hits a four of a kind and the counter does not go over 500 he keeps on playing.
If the person hits a four of a kind and the counter goes above 500 he cashes out and gets another 250 dollar fresh start.
If the person hits a straight flush he cashes out and gets another 250 dollar fresh start.
Hand pays will not count against the player, He will keep playing as if the hand pay never happened.
The only hand pay will be a royal so it will be easy to track this...
At the end of the first cycle the second cycle will start with the remaining 2500 dollars.
At the end of the second cycle will see how we did for both cycles and vote on what the group wants to do at that point. (Continue playing or split up the money we have)

I would add an option. They may want to stop with the win.

I think you'd be better off with each person playing 50 hands, at $10 per hand (2 per credit, max coins =$10)
Make a game of it. Each person plays 50 hands. That's it. Whoever has the most profit wins all of it. (or bragging rights)

Myself, if I could get 9 other friends to do this, I would encourage us to play dollars. The money will go fast at $2 VP.

   Whats the purpose of pooling the money? Seems like a lot of work to try and have fun.

Well Bill... Our investment is going to be five hundred dollars each...
If you go to a casino and play 10 dollars a hand VP with five hundred dollars. Chances are you will be done in no time at all. But with five thousand dollars there is a lot better chance to win a few bucks. Pooling the money will get everyone together and except for the person playing his turn, Everyone else can be having a cold one and just plain having a good time. None of us have done this before, We figured we'd give it a shot at least ounce. If it works out we may do it again. If it doesn't then will know it was a bad Idea.

I've seen this on YouTube; folks pool their money on high dollar slots. Most of the time they win - but that's because they usually only show the winning sessions. I figure VP is a safer bet.

To be honest, right now, the answer is a big No...
They will be practicing till they can play 99% correct on BP. It should not take to long to get there (I hope).BP strategy is pretty basic not to many rules like DDB or Deuces Wild.
We have not set a date yet, We have to get everyone on the same page as far a strategy goes and make sure we all can be there on what ever date we decide on. It's very probable were still a month or so away from the trip. And hell you never know, It might not even happen. You know what I mean. Five of your friends tell you they want to go fishing. The day before the trip you will be lucky to have 2 of them still going.
If that happens, I do know on thing. I'm going regardless...
    

   After a very successful couple of hours at Resorts, back when you could book a private table as long as you put X amount of money up, my three friends and I each put up $500 and played their $100 slot. After dropping almost a grand in a few spins, one of us hit a couple of bars and got us back to $2000. We all agreed it sounded like a lot more fun than it was and we cashed out. My friend whose card was in got his mailings upgraded for a short time, but nothing crazy.
Try to get them to use your card, if possible.

Well guys I don't think it's going happen.
Seems everyone thinks eight grand for a royal is not worth it...
So I'm going by myself. I got my room comped. So looks like I'll do what always do play single line dollar BP. I do pretty good on my own, No distractions and I do what I want when I want. I was doing this mainly for them but now I don't have to worry about it.Thanks for all your help and consider this post closed...
