So are you supposed to just keep playing the same ****ty machine forever and ever until it hits?

Is the idea to CYCLE through as many hands as possible to finally get a 'hit'?

I've seen machines SO ****ing cold they'll suck away $20,000 before hitting a $1k Royal. lol

It's enough to make you lose your mind.

However, if a machine is 'cold' is it time to move or change machines?

I'm just trying to understand here what the strategy is in terms of playing a machine. Do you just 'stick it out' until you hit?

There are no "cold machines" just poor timing on the player's part.

The same machine that took $400-$500 dollars before I went to dinner dealt me a nice $10K / 50 hand 5¢ dealt Royal Flush within 5 minutes after returning from dinner. My timing changed. I suggest you learn tips on how to change your timing.

Your next hand is your next hand. If it isn't on one machine, it's on another. If the machine you choose has everything going for it- proper pay tables, good buttons, good lighting, ect,ect. there is no reason to move. If there are other machines just as good, there is also no reason to stay.
I think for recreational players to be as successful as possible, they should follow what pros do.
I've never heard Mr Dancer or The Wolf talk about moving because a machine is cold, or that it is so hot.
Most successful VP players seem to have a solid grasp of math and things like hot and cold machines don't seem to factor into the equation.

You are so right. Most "successful" VP players seem to have a solid grasp of math and how to play each game at a high level of correct play. Then decisions on what to play, at what level come into play...

Obviously a polarizing topic. Let your personality be your guide. After -$100, just dump it. That hot mess is not worth the stress. Nothing beats a hot cycle right off. Finding that machine is worth it.

More power to you, LL... I would've stayed VERY FAR away from that machine...Good to know....

YOU, the player, decides when to stop the RNG. The machine has no choice but to deal out the cards YOU stopped it on. If anything is "cold", it's YOU the player.

Changing machines will not help, but it will not hurt either. If it makes you feel better, then go for it.

LLLArry, you have been one of the forum's most successful players in terms of reporting legitimate hits and big hands.....obviously you seem to know what you are doing.  Can we assume you are a Positive/Profitable long term player (i.e. U have WON more money than you've lost long term)?    Do you follow any of Bob Dancer's tips or strategies for "Advantage Play", whereby you conscientiously compare ALL the different promotions, giveaways, comps etc and make your choice on where to play (and what to play and HOW long to play) based on all this "Dancer Info"?   Or is your determination of success and profit simply dollars and sense from each of your sessions (and Sweet Wife's sessions too?)
