MGM in AC ?
MGM seeking approval to repurchase stake in Borgata
MGM Resorts International could find out today whether New Jersey regulators will allow it to regain a 50% stake in the Borgata in Atlantic City, N.J. MGM's business operations with Macau businesswoman Pansy Ho were called into question when MGM pulled out of the state, and details of the gaming enforcement division's reopened investigation of the partnership will be reviewed at a hearing. What do you think about a mgm/borgata joint venture opening up a second AC casino and going where Revel was at? No rumors, no inside information, it just would make sense to me. What do you think?

What do you think about a mgm/borgata joint venture opening up a second AC casino and going where Revel was at? No rumors, no inside information, it just would make sense to me. What do you think? That would be awesome for EVERYONE, and I personally would love to see it....But with the NOW seemingly imminent death of the TAJ, I believe there is a tidal wave of "negativity" sweeping up and into AC and that NO ONE (either customers or Companies) will want to invest any time or resources in AC until the final, murky bottom of this ugly picture is finally REACHED! What you outline, a MGM purchase of one of the now abandoned casinos makes logical business and economic sense in almost any circumstance......except the one we now apparently face! It would appear that things are, in fact, THAT BAD! And I am truly Heartbroken, for a lot of people and a lot of reasons! Least of all, I am heartbroken for myself, since, with the TAJ gone, and unless MGM resuscitates one of the defunct properties, the AC boardwalk will no longer be my go-to destination each month that it has been since February 2009!!!!I hope, nay PRAY, your scenario comes true.

DB you could always start focusing most of your play at CET. If you work their total rewards program and do the free junkets you can literally gamble all over the country for free. And get your rooms, food, and entertainment for free as well.
As you know, Jan. 1st the tier scores start over. That would be a great time to begin this strategy if you were interested. It is really not that hard to reach diamond and/or 7 stars. You lose some of your freedom by giving most of your play to one place but the way CET's reward program is currently structured you can definitely use it to your advantage.

DaBurglar have you contributed at all to the tidal wave of "negativity" sweeping up and into Atlantic City?
Edited to add- Please be honest DaBurglar because I have been doing some research and on 11/10/13 you wrote: "It is not only POSSIBLE that some AC casinos are crooked but it is LIKELY at least a few are." On 12/30/13 you wrote - "AC reaches saturation with 7 or 8 of it's casinos and doesn't have the customers to support all 11 and some NEED TO CLOSE." So let me guess: this wasn't what you meant; this was taken out of context; you mis-spoke; or, what?

DB - make 7Star with CET, and then use your 7Star annual trip to go visit Tedlark in Joliet.

We have got to get these two together. They would probably like each other if they ever met. Someone plan a videopoker.com meet and greet sometime next Spring so we will all have time to make arrangements to get there. It would be fun ti meet everyone.

So let me guess: this wasn't what you meant; this was taken out of context; you mis-spoke; or, what?Well great, you just dug up two old comments that showed I accurately predicted where AC was actually heading, and the funny thing was, back in 2013 when I was making these comments/statements-of-opinion, people were lambasting me that I was being "WAY TOO Negative and Biased" etc etcThe "Negative Momentum" I now speak of is quite different and much more specific and tangible......what I now am talking about is commonly referred to as "Bad Press" or Bad word of Mouth, or even "Bad Vibes". Simply put, when people now make their travel/vacation/gambling trip plans, when it comes time to consider where to go, AC will not receive much enthusiasm because people will think of all these casino closings and how "depressed" the AC market is, an they will go somewhere else, or not go at all. How long this remains in effect until it passes and things return back to normal for AC (and whatever casinos are still standing) is anyone;s guess.

I already played enough this year at CET to earn Diamond (Almost, I am currently at 13K in tier points so by years end I will be a diamond), which earns me the few things that mean the most, namelt free rooms, some food, a little slot play and access to the dwindling perks and conveninces (like their shuttle van, which has a great ramp/lift).The Tropicana is also something I may give BACk my play....when I first went to AC in 2009, the TROP was by FAR my primary property of choice and received the Bulk of my play. I got sick of their lousy paytables and of losing there.....but of all the AC properties, the Tropicana is by far the most diverse and extensive in terms of NON-casino stuff, and Definitely the most Restaurants and food outlets (too many to mention!)But here is the thing: Since early this year, my main focus in venturing to AC has been to work on my Poker Game, playing No limit Holdem cash and Tournaments. To this end, Borgata has by far the best Poker room, but several other casinos offer good alternatives as well.....Harrahs, Ballys and Golden Nugget......So I need to take that into consideration as well, so that my video poker play "supports" where and when I choose to play real live Poker by earning comps and benefits where I play Poker.

Bad Press, bad word of mouth, or even bad vibes. DaBurglar how many times have you written about your "conversations" with: cab drivers, jitney drivers, casino workers, popcorn vendors, ice cream cone vendors, hookers, other players, WHOMEVER. I classify the conversations that you spoke of as: Bad press, bad word of mouth, and bad vibes.
You are trying to back pedal again. You recently were crying about the travesty of casinos closing in Atlantic City while back in your post of 12/30/13 you advocated for the closing of some Atlantic City casinos.
I have news for you sir, I have more than just those two examples of your misinformation, half truths, fibs, etc.
