Where did the great games go at Ballys & Caesars?
My partner and I noticed a few weeks ago that all our favorite VP games are gone at Ballys & Caesars. These include Multi-Streak, Hyper Times Pay, Ultimate Aces, Crazy Times Pay, and others. All these machines are now just one-hand play. What a big disappointment and of course no one can give us a reason. Does anyone here know why they would get rid of these fun games????

They got tired of making money and entertaining players, so they're trying something new.

Sometimes the machines are leased and not owned, so when the lease is up, out they go. If that is not the case, I don't know why since all of these types of games are big moneymakers for the casinos due to the high volatility. Maybe they have been paying out quite a few of the big jackpots and the casino got nervous. Who knows. Casino bosses are just as superstitious as we are.

Was it a left over multiplier on a $1 machine?

they have the worst paytables and they were the first to start the major downgrades making almost all video poker unbeatable. Bob Dancer is the second force with his flash cards that brought the weak playing tourists to within 1/4% ofperfect play. the only good plays now are progressives with a big jackpot and fpdw (which is at the quarter level in las vegas

rofl - let me guess, boring players with dead hands and cutting comps. this way nobody shows up and they can save money on A/C bill and food cost for the buffet. great business model!

Does anyone here know why they would get rid of these fun games????wait a second.....can you be more exact? you say "a few weeks ago" was you rlast visit (so I am guessing on or about February 20 or so?) What was the previous visit you compared it to?The reason I ask is at Bally's, which is server based now along with Caesars and Harrahs in AC, they had Ultimate Aces on several machines when I last played there in December....so if they removed that and all the other games you mentioned, then just what the heck is let? As it is, both Caesars and Ballys GREATLY reduced their video poker offerings when they converted to Server a year ago.....The reason(s) are obvious....the CET properties, especially AC, are all about COST reduction (revenue comes second......the DEBT CET was carrying makes cutting expenses and costs first priority) And the simple fact is Video Poker, even the crappy paytable games, does not return what slots return, and even on a game like 6/5 JOB, IF the game is not rigged, you still can have stretches where players hit royals and the games wind up being a drag on the bottom line.......with these high variance games, again IF they are not rigged, they periodically have HUGE payouts from an occasional lucky big hit, and depending on when that happens it can have serious consequences.Oh sure, we all know that over time the games SHOULD bring in a lot more $$ than they spit out, but when a company like CET is struggling with the factors they are struggling with, even a short term blip that comes at the wrong time can cause headaches that are not worth the trouble.....MY next AC trip (that's planned) is April 12 thru 19 and I will be staying at caesars AC for 2 nights since they sent me free rooms out of the blue......but I will be darned if I play any VP at either ballys or caesars.......I may also have a quick spur of th emoment (unplanned) AC sojourn before this for 3-4 nights but that remains to be seen. The only thing now for me at either Ballys or CAesars AC is the BAllys poker room tournaments; they are good, low cost, low risk ways to warm up and earn some entry fees for bigger better tournaments at borgata.

We go just about every other weekend. So yes, all these games were they in December, but they were removed sometime in January or early February. Of course, the same machines are still sitting there, but the software has just been changed to boring single hand JOB et al. We have hit some good really good jackpots on the hyper times and multi-streak - and once on the ultimate aces. But you will see when you go that all that is really left is Super Times Pay and UltimateX. Good luck!

ok thanks no surprise I guess, especially the fact that STP and ULT X are still all over the place.....as I mentioned before, those games have a return% (or "HOLD") for the casino that meets or exceeds many SLOT games! Something is definitely rotten with the STP games, the way it reconciles play results.....Everyone says the same thing, the STP never deals a good hand when you have a multiplier, or never deals much of anything in general!
