NYC has become the epicenter of the virus in america. today, their governor was highly critical of many residents for not abiding by the guidelines the state laid out. there are as many cases of virus in new york state than the rest of the country combined.

for as long as i can remember, NYC residents have snubbed their noses at the rest of the country. they touted the endless action, museums, eateries, arts, sports, etc. that kind of lifestyle never interested me, but to each, their own. residents of the rest of nys, don't even like them.

it was bad enough when many of them left for other states and they brought their liberal, big government, lots of taxes mindset with them. i saw them do the same thing in NC. but now, they are escaping the big city medical (virus) woes and likely going to spread the virus to other places. surely, they will be infecting others.

i/m/o, if you are from nyc, stay there, no one else wants you. might seem harsh, but many of them don't think their sh!t stinks, i have had enough of them.

we are facing a health and financial crisis. we are all aware of this and recognize the government must act to assist individuals and businesses.

but, as congress and the trump administration are in a race to dole out more borrowed money, let's be a little careful. rumors are that folks will be receiving up to $1200/each and kids get $500/e.

-the income level should be reduced from the rumored $150k/for couples and $75k for individuals.
-no one who has not lost their job or had reduced job income, should get any money.
-no federal, state, local, school teacher, anyone who continues to receive their paycheck, should get any money.
-no retired person, who was not working for an income, should receive any money. this includes our house.
-monies to large corporations should be loans, all expected to be paid back. loan rate can be near zero.
-no company receiving these guaranteed, near zero interest loans can do stock buybacks, pay bonuses and corp execs should have salaries reduced, until loans paid back.
-any corp that wants these loans, must first repatriate monies kept overseas, to avoid taxation.
-no monies sneaked in for the NRA or abortion industry.

i do not have any solutions for small businesses, but i do know many small businesses naturally go under every year, even without a pandemic.

these are my opinions.
What, no money for solar and wind and the Kennedy Center? The nerve.

today's front page of NYTimes, DENSITY IS NORMALLY GOOD FOR US...

liberals hate individuals having personal space (land). everyone should live like canned sardines. of course, that does not pertain to wealthy liberals, they want privacy and seperation.

ny governor made some dire states today. said the 'curve' is not flattening, but actually increasing, in his state.

the county that THE VILLAGES is located has 10 total cases and no deaths. again, 60% of residents over age 65. also, few young people.

trump seems to be hinting that it will not be long before he starts slowly rolling back some of the nationwide restrictions. i am no expert, but it seems that we need a more tailored approach, than just universal rules. vulnerable groups (that include myself) will still need to take precautions, but those who are not at risk as much, can start to slowly get the country back to where we were. NYS may need to do things differently than iowa.

continue hand washing, seperation, no handshakes, no hugging, wipe down surfaces, etc.

Grew up in the housing projects in NYC. Couldn't wait to get out. Now you know why.

i have a hard time feeling sympathy for folks who are typically so arrogant, and that is exactly how many nyc residents act. the mayor and the governor are begging/demanding the fed do more and more. why didn't they have a large supply of needed equipment in reserve, in the event of a crisis? have they said thanks, for all that has already been done for them? have they taken any responsibility for the situation they find themselves in? or, is all just another way for liberals and their media minions to bash trump. they screw up and blame trump, sound familiar?

a sensible person might take a moment to reexamine their city, one with a huge virus problem, increasing crime, declining population and reduced tax revenues, and wonder if they are on the wrong path. they might consider a little humility and shut up and quit telling us how great they are.

not holding my breath for that to happen.

Reported that carloads of folks leaving NYC for fly-over country. Sounds like semi-legal immigrants to me.
