Why are we all so glum?

Why do you play video poker? What is your favorite game and why?
I bet he tips the drink girls. Doesn't everyone?
I am not sure that Bob even tips the cocktail waitresses. He uses casinos to make a living for himself - not anyone else.
If that's the case (I'm hoping it's not), then he should abstain from ordering any drink. And he would and should get horrible service anyway.

And totally stiffing slot attendants may not be optimal either. Bob has said his bread and butter game at South Point is worth $60/hr or $1/minute on the right days. If he can't hop on another unit while waiting (there are 4 total and the slot attendants will figure out where he's playing) and if a $10 tip makes the attendant come 10 minutes faster, then it's a wash.
I would go with a white or Ivory colored Negligee myself, some good white chocolates, a couple of dozen white roses, and a good bottle of white wine.

Some good ideas there; but what do I get for her then?
I tip them and I don't even patronize them. My logic on this is simple: I'm occupying space in their section that quite possibly could be occupied by someone else who would be getting drinks from the drink girls thusly earning a tip. So I give them a few bucks, I'm not missing any meals by doing this.

Good Ted....I just treat the people like anyone else giving you a service and relying on tips for most of their income. Also you meet lots on nice people, find out what a small world it is, and have a better time overall.

That's my outlook exactly Olds. What goes around comes around and pay it forward.

DaBurglar I've also paid for the groceries several times for some nuns who shop in a food store by me. again DaBurglar; don't be a hater. The food store by the way isn't too far from Galeygoo.

And I just love shopping there, especially when I wear those nuns' habits.  Oops...

Bob Dancer, like many other AP's tip handpays at 1%. It's a bit cheapo IMO but I don't play for a living either. Jean Scott does so as well.

Their denom level is much higher than most so I understand their reasoning (hence the slang, "stiffs and georges."} I gladly share with the attendant who has to handpay me even though I'll never see them again. agreed Tedlark. Pay it forward.

And you KNOW this because ???

I distinctly remember Bob posting on this Forum that he never tips handpays. I, personally, don't care one way or the other, but we clearly have a different style.

Billyjoe,
y'all don't play for a living. I can't swear to it but I believe he posted it in his monthly column to a California Indian casino newsletter. Might have been in his weekly column in the Las Vegas Advisor. Not sure. Your style is different from others but that's what makes us all unique. You play TDB for the thrill of the kill quads etc. I play mostly JoB and DDB but not exclusive. (for fun, not for profit!)

I totally understand that. That is why tipping for a handpay by a professional, advantage player like Bob, even 1%, is unlikely - it destroys his advantage.
