Spin Poker
Spin Poker
The first hand is dealt on the center payline with two other decks above and
below it. So, what you hold on the center hand is held on the top and bottom
hands, too. This gives you the double-barreled variety of multi-game and
multi-denomination play. Play Spin Poker now!

iPad doesn't allow the use of flash player, which is required to play the games on this site. Hopefully Apple will enable that in the future. In the meantime, you can play games by downloading our Best of Video Poker iPad app.

Is this a slot machine or a "true" video poker machine?

Someone asked a similar question in the past, but I can't find the discussion at the moment. The simple answer is: Spin poker is a "true" video poker machine. The cards are dealt randomly like any other video poker machine, but the pay lines are different. The appearance is similar to a slot machine with the way the cards spin and the pay lines, which makes it an appealing game to some players who also enjoy slots. But it's still video poker.

I was the one who asked that question in the past and came away firmly believing that spin poker is a slot machine that uses cards instead of it's usual cherries, stars, bars and other symbols. That's why it says "SLOT" right under each game on spin poker initial screen so as not to be confused with a real video poker game, where it says poker right under each game. Quite self-explanatory if you think of it. Moreover, you get the same points playing spin poker as you would playing Monopoly slot game. The proof is in the puddin' folks! Please Webman, enough is enough.

Then your casino is giving extra points for the game I guess, or you live in a state where Class II gaming is legal. Caesars properties give a tier credit for every $10 coin-in, just like every other video poker game.
The use of "slot" in the game selection screen is misleading. They probably wrote that there because the display is similar to a video slot. However, if the game inaccurately portrays the probabilities of a standard poker deck, it would be illegal in Nevada, Missouri, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, Iowa, Ohio, Maryland, and several other states.

Here is a description of how the game operates, from a well regarded and knowledgeable source. Please let me know which elements of his description you disagree with:wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/tables/spin-poker/

I believe Spin Poker is considered a 'hybrid' machine. The base game is poker with dealt cards and holding or discarding cards. But the spin feature with the multi paylines is like the video slots machines.
