Re: Most unbelievable video poker stories
Wasn't the Treasure Chest Casino the one that looked like an old ship? We played there a few times before Katrina. We also played at the Casino Magic back when all the Biloxi casinos where barges tethered to the shore. What were they thinking?

Treasure Bay was the name of the "pirate ship" like barge/casino in Biloxi. Treasue Bay is now a land based casino on the same site. Katrina sank the barge.

MT1716, you are absolutely correct. It was Treasure Bay, not Treasure Chest.
Yes, Phil, it looked like an old pirate's ship. I owned a tract of family property near Waveland at the time, and two weeks after Katrina I toured the Mississippi coast. Treasure Bay was destroyed, and several other floating casinos in both Gulfport and Biloxi were pushed all the way up onto or even past US 90, the beach highway.
At the time of Katrina, Mississippi law required casinos to actually be on the water. Following the hurricane, the law was changed so that casinos could be built on land within a certain distance of a body of water. Some of the newer ones or rebuilt ones are now on land, but there are still some major floaters, such as IP in Biloxi. The attitude down there seems to be that a hurricane like Katrina could never happen again.
The area where my property was located (in Hancock County) had plenty of homes before the hurricane. Following the hurricane there was not a single surviving home for blocks. Some have rebuilt, but 12 years after Katrina there are still plenty of empty lots.

Thinking of a few quirky things that have happened to me over the years playing vp. One is hitting three quad aces, two with kickers, on 10/6 DDB in a span of about 5 minutes.
Getting back to back quad 9's.
Not much of a dollar player, but a few years ago was playing $1 9/6 jacks or better, hit a royal (first dollar for me). Was going to leave but supervisor said u should keep playing, so I did. Was about to call it when the machine froze...I thought I broke it...but no, was a dealt royal! Biggest session win for me so far in vp, $8k.
Never hit a sequential royal yet, however, on one occasion and posted in my thread my journey in video poker, came in and hit a royal of clubs, came back the next day and hit another royal in clubs, SAME SUIT, SAME CARD LOCATION, SAME MACHINE (.25c 10/6 DDB).
Vp....wild stuff!

Did you continue playing the same machine on future sessions? Any more royals?
Last year I got a royal and it had been over a year since the previous royal. I decided to play the same machine on future visits and I got 4 more royals with minimal play over a 5 month span. The machine was out of order for a few weeks and I saw them working on the hardware. Then all the machines in the bank were out of service. Another visit I saw them setting up the paytables. Since then, no more royals for me. Maybe others have been lucky like I was because the machine is usually being played.

Back in May 2016, I was playing at the bar at Harrahs AC, Within an hour on same machine, got 4 Aces 4 times, none with the kicker though on DDB.

Last summer (or was it two summers ago, I forget), I got 6 quad deuces on FPDW on various machines in the same bank in the span of about 90 minutes. The thing is, all 6 of them were when i was dealt 3 deuces. Most amazing thing I've ever experienced and probably ever will experience.

Six quad deuces in ninety minutes is incredible. I love it when a bank suddenly got hot in the good old days, pre CET bankruptcy. I would run three quads in forty minutes. Captured all three in a group photo.

Playing a few years ago at the Palm in Vegas.$1 DDB. Dealt 222xx. Draw came 32 for 22232. Very next hand:333xx. Draw came 23 for 33323. That was so fun.
I've also hit Aces w/kicker not back to back but within 4 hands of each other. The hottest machine I ever had was at Pechanga pre-crappy new machines in the high limit bar top area. Within 1.5 hours must have hit close to a dozen 4oak's. Then hit a Royal and within 25 hands hit another Royal. All on $2 DDB.

Think I posted this somewhere before, but was playing $1.00 All American at Caesars AC back in 2006, i think and was dealt 4 Kings on consecutive hands. They were both in the first 4 positions and I swear the suits were lined up the same, but I couldn't be sure
