***UPDATE***Hey, I'm back! I took a break, didn't abandon VP, but with a string of losses, had to take a break and regroup. Apologies for the hasty post. Was upset at the time I made it. Going to change it a bit because some of it was not really meant to be said or said to be meant...? At any rate,  10/6 DDB is a great game, but it also has great VARIANCE. It kicked me in the caboose, and can understand Bob Dancer's warnings about DDB and TDB. Very good advice Bob, thank you. Been playing alot of FPDW lately and having very positive results. Started a "VLOG" on YouTube called Video Poker in the Desert and you can actually see me ramble about VP, living in Vegas, playing a bit of VP and poker, and so forth. Now you will know what I look like. At any rate, cheers and like Reverend Jackson says, Keep Hope Alive!Cheers~Dan

you hit a
$1,000 royal on quarters---------------------------------------------Re 2015 hypothetical. I'm not giving 1% of it back, never mind 25%. I'm out of the casino and out of town. As was the case recently. Just my adamant belief that a four figure jackpot should remain intact, in pristine condition. Your turn to trump the casino should be relished. I am now interested in seeking RFs at other casinos and the $4000 RF jackpot on dollars. Hopefully one of these events will occur this year.

I've taken a bit of a break myself from VP due to recurring bad sessions. May get back in to it in a few weeks, but busy at work (making money, not losing it)and spending time off playing golf or getting out in the improving weather here in the NE and enjoying. Starting to get the itch though.

Starting to get the itch though.----------------------------------------I got a nice full pay Straight Flush on Sunday. Hard to stay away after that and a recent RF. VP seems to be rebounding for me. Glad I squashed my craps itch before it could fester. One itch is quite enough.

Yes, breaks and vacations are so important. Definitely needed to cleanse myself from the DDB roller coaster ride I was on. Not that roller coasters aren't fun and I might get back on it for a ride. But definitely going to appreciate the other rides the carnival offers. Too much metaphors? Lol
Damn, I want a royal Flush! Been over two RF cycles. Come on already. Maybe if I cry about it I'll get one!

I recently did a 90 degree 125 foot drop on a roller coaster. Not yearning for a repeat; it seems sufficient.

Yap. Sticking to the deuce ride for awhile until I get the urge for some roller coaster action.
When u get the chance, checkout the vlog video poker in the desert on you tube. Get a laugh, subscribe.
One of the recent ones shows that barely anyone plays the optimum games. Most want the roller coaster with ****ty pay tables. Amazing to me, but why should I complain? We need those players. Will be getting a lot of my material from videopoker.com, so let me know if u guys or gals want me to touch on anything on here or there.
Cheers and I'll have a royal flush on the rocks please :)!!

Thanks. It is a sound strategy. Don't go crazy with dollar play until you have doubled your money! If the windfall dissolves, just go back. The prerequisite is DW devotion. On JOB, I am much more likely to get clobbered!

Playing dollars all the time guarantees you will be paid $4k for every royal.  Unfortunately it also takes more money to play at that denomination.  Deuces is a weird game that runs in streaks.  You can't count on streaks to win, but you can manage your money so that you play a small portion of your play at a higher denomination.  If you get lucky and hit something at dollar play, it really adds to your bottom line. This strategy is far superior to CS where the only real advantage is extended play and you don't have to give up ER playing single coin.  Playing this way takes more bankroll than flat betting quarters, but not nearly as much as playing dollars all the time.  It also adds in a little more excitement, which isn't  a bad thing.
