Re: A Pretty Good Night
Thanks Ed, it was a pretty fun night. As I mentioned in my originating post, I didn't take a picture of the quad deuces and for being a 1k payoff I guess I should have.
When I was waiting to get paid on the last handpay I asked a young beverage server how her night was going and she said it was good. I asked "Was it good, or was it GOOD?" She said it was just good. I then handed her $100.00. She just sort blanked for a second and thanked me, telling me that my gesture meant alot to her. I then asked why and she said she wasn't able to buy a book for one of her college courses and because of what I just did, she would be able to buy the book.
As I've said here in the forums many times before: karma is a good thing and kind deeds are rewarded.

That damn sound really annoys players at neighboring banks! I always turn the volume down to lowest settings when I play QQ....I agree with Jeter that its a nice sound when its YOU playing the game and its YOU hitting the Quads, but out of respect for other players, AND to avoid people rubbernecking and staring at YOUR screen everytime the words blare out I keep my volume low. One thing that is very amusing about QQ sound is when someone hits a Quickquad and the volume is high, and the actual person/players is Scared, startled or shocked by the sudden blaring of "QUICK QUAD!" that they actually jump in their seat! I freely admit on at least two instances this happened to me early on when I first was learning the game....I was indeed startled. However, I certainly was not, in any way or shape or degree or fashion, SQUASHED.....

Congratulations. This is about how my play has been going. Casino was undoubtedly attempting to persuade me to remain another hour to bust.

Excellent post, I like seeing the near-hits that didn't quite pan out. Has a nice down to earth realistic view to it....

I hit a RF with a $1,006 Progressive once, so the paltry $1,024 was not discouraging. But the near hits chicanery just insults my intelligence. I was so indignant that I had to take a photo. I didn't earn one TC on Sunday. I played sparingly and hit Tony's Baltimore. Sad that they now resort to coupon ads, but it got me through the door.

Yeah. These "near-hits" on 3 to a royal happen 1 in 12 hands on average.
