local casino today to pick up food and had the brilliant idea of
playing $1 9/6 JOB to get to $30 to pay for the meal. Not taking into
consideration a much higher denomination and limited time.
One or twice was up $20, but had to get to magic $30. Nope.
Was a costly $-500 mistake.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Major indigestion! So much wrong on so many levels. Love more details. How did you plan to wrangle food from a casino? No supermarket on the premises. $30 for dinner for one at a restaurant? Pick up take out for multiple people? Magical thinking! It's actually not that hard to blow $500 on $1 JOB. Just get on an ice box. Sun I blew $80 on a quarter machine in an hour ten. I had to stay longer to recover 60% of it elsewhere!

Stupid is as stupid does...
Went to the local casino today to pick up some food and had the brilliant idea of playing $1 9/6 JOB to get to $30 to pay for the meal. Not taking into consideration it was a much higher denomination and I had limited time. One or twice was up $20 dollars, but had to get to thr magic $30. Nope. Was a costly $-500 mistake. Learn from my mistakes and try not to repeat them. Luckily had some wins so I'm able to absorb it, but still was a cooler.
Cheers

I personally do this every single casino visit. From personal experience, it works its way out if you do it for at least a year. Some days you win when you hit a bundle of quads. One bad day should not dissuade you from doing it again.

I agree with this said...Nothing wrong with a pot shot now and again, and I was up from earlier sessions so did not quite violate my rule of increasing denomination without a significant win. But I certainly didn't plan to be down that much with such limited time and that's probably why I'm upset with not stopping after about $200 down. But who knows what the next spin brings, eh? At any rate, it's water under the bridge, moving upward and onward.

Roller coaster up, roller coaster downnnn
$-700. Had a full 4 hrs of play time tonight. Obviously no magic, a few quads but insignificant. This loss puts me in the negative so far for this month, about $330. But got to take the goods with the bads...like Rocky, it's not getting knocked down but getting back up. Might have to get off the roller coaster for a new ride, not sure yet. One thing for sure,
Vp is a fickle mistress.

Hiatus was a good idea! I crave a session of dollar JOB, where in my experience the quads have come quicker. Hit never exceeds the dreaded hour mark. Just about recoup losses if starting slowly at min coin. Quarter Progressives have become so stale. Usually just a token few bucks over $1,000. Grind forever, finally get a quad, still losing bad. Of course no comps. No wonder people are bored by JOB. I'm making the great leap.

Back after a bit of a break. Did play a bit here and there, but not too much. Went on summer vacation and so forth. I did hit a royal about one week ago on .25c fpdw. Unfortunately no picture of it. From Late July to today been pretty much playing only deuces wild, mostly fpdw and a bit of nsud. As usually, started off the month of August on a high note. Now I just have to keep it there. Cheers...P.S. On a positive note, just started to post my youtube videos again, dealing in the desert (formerly video poker in the desert), under thesuperdaniel1970.  Will see how it goes and develops for round 2.

I did hit a royal about one week ago on .25c FPDW.------------------------------------------------------------------Congratulations. Our favorite hand. A four figure hit is fantastic, especially without a W2. Check my progress in the Atlantic City 2Q thread below. Between the gambling and the weather, a frustrating weekend.

Welcome back. I know if I go through a rough stretch I will be M.I.A. as well, but I intend to bounce back and keep battling while the opportunity is still there.

Long Story Short...played a 6/5 bonus poker .25c single line game at the local Smith's grocery store with a prog royal at $1700...won $20. Then tonight played about 850 hands of .25c single line fpdw and hit the deuces for a win of $200. Details on my youtube page. Cheers
