Re: My Journey on Video Poker
So decided to play .50c NSUD single line at the local casino and donated another -$400. This is three significant losses in a row and decided to take a break and regroup. Something I like to do during downswings. Which I guess was inevitable after a nice upswing. Still up for the month of September, +$721. Will get back to the vp action soon.Cheers

Nothing like a RF to keep you up for the month despite stupefying losses of your magnitude! This one was a doozy.

I guess when I said soon I meant it! Back to play .50c 8/5 Bonus Poker with full points at the local casino. Started with the intention of playing quarters, but game started so good, decided to bump it up to .50c, only brought $300 BR session with me....Anyway,Was Glad I did, 19 quads, 1 straight flush, and a royal flush for $2,000.YES!Strangely enough, came out exactly even in the play minus the royal flush money. But fine, I'll take it. So +$2,000. Back in action. Poker gods showed some mercy.Cheers

Congratulations. I've sure got to learn from you and bump up in denomination when in a hot cycle! We were both winners yesterday. But I didn't even crack $100 level.

How many hours play did it take to get 19 quads?
I didn't do a great job clocking time on this session. Roughly 3.5 hours I'd say. Play at least 1k hands an hour on this game, probably closer to 1200 hands per hour. So roughly 4200 hands. With a quad what, roughly every 400 hands statistical average, should expect 10-11-12? It was over quaded (just made up that word, don't think it's a word). Anyway, only one quad was a 200 coin quad. No aces, everything else was a 125 coin quad,
Minus a flopped straight flush. I do remember a few dry spells during the session. Still, with 19 quads and a sf in 3.5 hrs, would think of being ahead some in that dept minus the Royal. Anyway,
Onward and upward.

When in the 3.5 hour session was the RF? I won't assume anything.

Just got off a lousy .50c Jacks or Better session. Forgot how unkind even the lowest variant game can be..boring too. -$400. These negative $400 sessions getting tiring. Thanks to the powers for the $2k royal yesterday to make up for these crappy sessions.Up +$2,321 for the month. Could be better, could be worse. Still 4 days to go this month.CheersP.S. To answer FAA question on when the royal came....The Royal came a bit after 3 hours, in the tail end.

lousy .50c JOB session. Forgot how unkind even the lowest variant game can be. Boring too. -$400.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Welcome to my world. Beyond comprehension. I lost $100 an hour on JOB this month before switching casinos out of desperation. Thankfully, that did work. I can trade boredom for a playable game. With unmitigated losses three straight visits, it's no coincidence. Boycotted venue.
I lost $100 an hour on JOB this month before switching casinos out of desperation.
Isn't it amazing how you can lose $100 an hour playing a game where the odds say you should lose $3.25? A quarter JOB Royal pays 4000 coins. How many $100 an hour sessions will that erase?
