Re: My Journey on Video Poker
HR is a low roller's mantra. Understood, with five times my roll, you can afford the long view.

Another 10/6 DDB quarter single line session in the books. up +$100. Hit 4 deuce with kicker and a quad king. Did not play long...maybe 50 minutes or so. After my mantra about hit and run play, this was a quasi hit and run, was planning to play for 2 hours or so but decided against the grind, take the money, and go home and take care of things at the house. At any rate, tomorrow is another day and would like a royal with cheese please!CheersP.S. FAA, I don't know what your bankroll is so can't really comment intelligently on me having 5 times the roll that you have. I do know my bankroll is replenishing and I do have enough for the 3-5 BR rule of thumb for the quarter games, but not the appropriate amounts for the higher denominations. Although i do take the pot shots now and again....P.S.S. **Only concerns the you tube watches***My youtube series "Dealing in the Desert" last video Oct 7-10 has been flagged for inappropriate material. Anyone who has seen the videos knows they are clean and family friendly. So I'm fighting for them to bring back the video and apologize on behalf of you tube's ridiculousness. If they continue the strike I will have no choice but to stop the video series and just continue my blogging on this site. So just a heads up for those who follow both the blog here and the youtube videos.Cheers

Played yet another session of 10/6 DDB single line quarters today...did not go well as the video poker gods decided to take more grift...-$400. Hit a sprinkle of quads, 5 of them, 3 were quad queens, one quad 6's, and one quad 4's with kicker, but not enough to make up for the dead space. Not much else to say. Royal progressive at $1,097 as of this blog. On to the next.Cheers

My roll is a fifth of your most recent loss. Brutal for us both.

Decided to take a break from 10/6 DDB and play some full pay deuces .25c single line. I did hit a quad deuce holding just one deuce and getting 3 more on the draw which is nice...played about an hour and a half, and walked out up +$155. Nothing too exciting beyond that. Tomorrow is another day.
Cheers

A hundred bucks an hour is plenty exciting.

Played a quick session of fpdw .25c single line again tonight with limited time and budget (bank ATMs were down, didn't want to use casinos). Lots of trip deuces, but vp gods didn't want to give up the goods and gave back -$74. Started with $150, lost it, put in my last $20 bill, and ran it up to get about $76 back. So that's that. Hoping for some more football success this weekend. Looking at Memphis to beat Tulane tomorrow, and looking at packers/pats/raiders.
Cheers

Good news! I selected all three at Borgata AC. You'll make out like a bandit. My wagering was free, but mandatory full slate.

A pure grind tonight on the fpdw. But a little over 4 hours later and about 5,375 hands hit the quad deuce. Fingers hurt and tired, but was in a mission tonight to hit the damn deuces and did it.
On another note, Memphis let me down and didn't cover by one point. Oh well.
Cheers and on to the next...pic posted. +$116

If you got the four hours, they've got the quad deuce. $29 per hour to play VP quite the deal. Life is good out in LV. I usually become so stubborn that I jeopardize a perfectly good winning session to chase a quad. If lucky the quad safari costs $20. If not, $60 or more. The hot window seems to be a half hour tops. Cold cycle is interminable.
