Another trip to the casino today, started well, 4 four of a kinds the first hour. Then down we go can't find a machine to even let you play a bit playing 9/6 JOB and 8/5 BP. Find myself down $400, plus having a bad month on top of it all. Then find a SF! Inside Queen. In this hand below, you ever want to hold the 3 to the royal? Then make the right play and see one of the 2 come in for the SF. Could the Ace have been there?

I cash out and move to another machine, this machine was on fire! Quad after quad, dealing FH and FL. After about 2 hours of what I call letting me play, staying in a tight $80 range up and down, I hold 3 to the royal and bingo! A well needed royal for the month. Royal number 23 on the year!

Friday is the Queens (wife) birthday, spending Thursday night. Need another royal to get me into the black for the month!

Congrats on the hits wildman. Regarding the question you posed about ditching the SF to go for the royal; would you pay a nominal fee to see the cards that may have come on the draw after the hand is played out if you kept the 4 cards for the SF?

I'm not trying to "steal your thunder", but I can't help mentioning that, during our recent Las Vegas trip, my wife scored both a straight flush and a royal on the same deal.

She was playing triple line bonus poker at Main Street Station, and was dealt queen-jack-ten of hearts. On the middle line, she drew the eight-nine of hearts for a straight flush, and on the bottom line, the ace-king of hearts for the royal. One of the other nearby players called it a true "Kodak moment". (You probably have to be getting up there in age to know that expression).

Um, I'm 38 and know what it means. Lol

But where is the "Kodak"?

And as for the original question. No, I don't usually question it. 4 to a straight flush is so much easier than 3 to a royal and a lot more valuable too.
