Hand Pay At The Taj
Finally had great trip playing STP Video poker. Got there Saturday around 11AM. Played till 4 and took a break to eat. Went back down and played some more. Held 3 cards to the Royal on DW 5 play and got it! Then playing joker poker 3 play-now this is crazy!-I had the 3 multiplier and got dealt absolute cr-p--so i just held a 7 and I get a 5 of a kind for a $3000 hand pay!! WOOHOO! Sunday was a great day too where both my hubby and I got 5 of a kinds on STP!! (no multiplier tho) Went home with $3000 more then we went with and played to our hearts content. Now we have a good stake for this coming 3 day weekend! Cant wait to get back!

You know, there is a reason that the casinos are so nice, and treat us so well-if we keep going, we are bound to give them back our money and then some-set a budget, and keep some of those nice winnings!

To me going to AC, getting a room, eating some good food-usually roomservice 2x a day, watching a movie on pay per view, gambling and talking to friends there is worth whatever I lose. I figure a movie and out to dinner and lunch is going to cost and here I also have a room and a shot of going home with more than I came with. Theres nothing we would rather be spending the same money on. We always set a budget but sometimes we dont stick to it but most times we do.

Way to go Barb! I've been feeling a little ill the last few days, so I haven't been online very much. That's quite a hit holding a singleton 7, especially when that pesky multiplier comes up! Woo hoo!!
Sounds like you both played a little more joker poker this time versus your regular deuces wild. Even though joker is one of the lower EV games to play, I love playing that game on STP.. that's where my biggest hits have been.

Hope you are feeling better Mike. We all missed you here! We never really played Jokers Wild cause its a really hard game-(I used to play single line and got my butt kicked many a time, but I still find it one of the more exciting games)However all the other games were freeeezzzzzing cold so I though why not give it a ry. We had a decent stake since I had hit the Royal earlier so it was worth the investnment. I have to say it was a very lucky JW session. I am trying not to be fooled into thinking "JW's the way to go" cause we all know those machines can get very very very cold! I am also disappointed that they dont have JW 2 pair on the STP on this site, I could use the practise. Cant wait to give them another ride this weekend. Hey did you accept the job?? I'll give another TR when I get back--I hope it has the same title LOL

Thanks Barb
I had been fighting that cold for over a week, and it was just miserable!
Yes, JW pair isn't exactly the game to play in terms of long-run potential, but in my opinion, is a great short-term game because of its easier jackpot potential. You have a much higher chance of hitting that 5 oak jackpot versus royal jackpots, so if I have a bad session of DDB, I'll normally switch to JW. If you do hit a few straight flushes along the way, you can get quite a few hands to try to hit that 5 oak. So far, it's worked very well for me, and no matter what the odds say, I've taken quite a few dollars out of those JW machines!
Do you have VPFW yet? That program has the JW 2 pair on it, and it was DEFINITELY worth the practice. I used to make so many errors before I got that program, and can say that I last a lot longer on that game because of it.
Don't forget that TR for this weekend's trip. Can't wait to hear all the jackpots that you and your hubby have hit!

Mike,
I had the free version and at the time I was into the Jker oker. Now I am thinking of buying it because there are a million hands that Im not sure what to hold, unlike DDB where I am pretty well versed on correct play. i will post the Trip Report in a new post. Not a good one LOL
Barb
PS hows your cold?

Barb,
I responded to your TR in the other post. My cold is much better now, finally.. it only took about 2 weeks.. LOL Once you get that VPFW up and running, you'll be shocked at the hands that you missed on Joker's Wild. I know I was.. I couldn't believe how much longer I lasted on the real thing once I practiced with the software.
