Moving to a New Casino

With negative changes occurring at the Isle Lake Charles, Sweet C and I have begun to look at possible VP replacements. A family member suggested trying the Coushatta Casino that is located about 30 minutes longer drive from Houston. Whenever we play at a new casino we devise a plan of action to maximize our play/comps.
Our steps include:
Contacting a host before arrival to make initial contact. We know comps will be based on our initial play.
Find out about the player’s club rules/points for each level. Set a goal to make the next level.
Go mid-week. Non Friday/Saturday trips are easier to comp and provide a greater chance of playing on the machines we want to play. (Being retired helps with this.)
Get multiple copies of your player’s cards. We both play on one player’s card the first trips. This doubles the points accumulated and the coin-in when being reviewed by a host.
Play extra heavy on the first trip. This often requires saving up but pays dividends when making the base line of play.
After several trips we will switch to reserving and playing on the other’s card to build their card points and comps. That way we both get max comp cash and offers from the casino that gives us more options.
We’ve now made three trips (two days each) since March 31. We found 6-50/100 play machines. The machines are generally the same pay tables (but offer 9/6 Dbl Dbl.) but they offer a greater selection of denominations including 2¢, 5¢, 25¢, 50¢ and $1. The machines use the same chip when switching denominations. This seems to help us when we get into a rhythm.
Whether beginners luck or the high return we have each hit multiple RF on 5¢ play. Better we have each averaged a 25¢ RF on every day’s play. Six days of play – (6) 25¢ RF. This past trip my first RF came within the first 5 minutes of play and on my third hand of 25¢ play. Followed by two for Sweet C on the fifth day of play and my second on day six. We played the whole trip on Sweet C’s cards which gave her a huge base play over – 10,000 points. Can’t wait to see what her offers will be.
Let you know how the play continues.
BTW: This was my May 1, 2014 Isle hand pay. Had missed multiple 3 deuces and 4/RF multiple hand opportunities. Also held 4 RF on 45 hands and no RF. The night before watched a guy next to me hold 4 RF 100 hands and hit no RF.
