Drove over yesterday to lake Charles. Played some normal vp, with no luck, so I played some ultimate x 10 hand got my losses back from regular vp.Went had a bite and played a little double double bonus with no result. Went back to ultimate x 10 hand and hit 4 aces for 3200 credits, gave me some breathing room and was holding my own. I sat at that machine for 4 hours, with the multiplier in full swing, I got dealt four 3s and a king threw the king away and hit close to ten thousand credits on that hand. That 1 machine I play every time I go there.

Congrats on your luck. Ultimate X is a game that I don't play too often but when the hits come, they come... Congrats again.

I love machines that allow for marathon sessions without destroying bankroll. What a luxury in this day and age. Find those precious few and stick with them. It's virtually free recreation at worst. On a game with your variance, scarce as hen's teeth I imagine.

If the original poster had a few good sessions on this game, good for him. But continue to play this game and you will have some really ugly sessions. That was true for me and I was playing a 99.8% version and I knew the strategy. Lesser pay schedules where players guess at the strategy you lose at a faster rate.
But continue to play this game and you will have some really ugly sessions.
Words of wisdom... Super high variance video poker games are a monster waiting to tear your heart out. Sneak up to them quietly and put in a few bucks. If you hit something, immediately run away and find something that's not going to clean out your wallet. If you insist, you have been warned.

I do not dispute what you are saying, I also bet football and I play 500 to a thousand per wager. I play 10 cent ultimate 10 line and normally I start with 400 and if the machine is keeping me close, I stick with it. I like the game because of the big hits. I am conservative by nature and know how to walk if cold. Playing scared is a mistake so many players make. Also you must have a bankroll.
