Wow, congrats to your wife Dez. Am I seeing the payout right, 50k? Or the progressive? Just the same, its a fantastic hit on free play.

Holy cow. I never seen those quick hits on a line ever. I only see them scattered. Just one spin off the free play? Lottery like win. Your holidays got real good.

Yes, $50,000. It didn't hit on the first spin, it took about 4 or 5 spins to hit. She got a few small hits right away (you can see the 65 credits in the machine) It was interesting to see them verify the jackpot. Two techs took the board out of the machine and did something to it for a couple minutes. Once it was verified, they paid the JP pretty quickly. I think we're both still in shock.

Awesome hit.....which Harrahs was this dez????I had this debate with my cousin recently, concerning smallish amounts of free play and whether it was more sensible to try and play small stakes (like 5 cent or 25 cent VP) for free play amounts in the 20-40 dollar range, trying to cash out as much of it as possible (to use for whatever, gas money, a meal, etc.) .... or plop the whole amount on a few spins or pulls of high(er) stakes games (like 1 or 5 dollar VP, or as you did, high stakes Slots.)    Obviously the latter strategy paid off HUGE for you here......for about 90% of the posters here, you just hit essentially a LIFETIME of jackpots and wins in one fell swoop! How did you take the payout and what (if anything) did you have removed for tax purposes??

Took it in cash and let just say the wonderful government got their "share". My wife is always of the mindset of "go for it", no small stakes free play for her. But then again, she's what I call a "happy gambler", whether she wins or loses she maintains a good attitude.
