At the Hard Rock yesterday, playing $2 VBJ and watching the Yankee game. Couple of neophytes sitting next to me. They had just discovered if you play the machines, you don't have to pay $16 for a Jack and coke and are loving it. We talk a little- they were from Iowa, vacation, yada, yada. Kid holds Ace, King, Jack of Hearts and is all excited. Draw comes Queen of Hearts, Ten of Diamonds. He thinks he hit a Royal and goes nuts, as do his friends. Everyone is high fiving everyone and I look over and see the machine says he has a Straight. At first glance, I couldn't figure out what was what but then saw the Diamond. I left it to the bartender to break the bad news.

That would go viral if captured on video.

Had to laugh as a similar recent event occurred. Player is playing deuces game and calls his wife from her machine to see his Royal. He even turned to me to look at his Royal his second for the day he said. I congratulated him on his 125 credits.
