I think it has been about 25 years since I got a Royal holding only 2 cards. I know I have more dealt and redraw Royals than a 2 card hold. I can’t remember ever getting a one card hold Royal.

WTG Olds. As an aside, I have never gotten a dealt or redraw royal. I have gotten four one card hold royals, the last one well before my wife's fatal cancer.

Arrived for a solo trip tonight. Low budget for fun before more Cataract surgery on Monday. . So far, up 27.40. . This is a tough game. Double Bonus Deuces Wild. 98.61 paytable. Not bad for nickels.

I agree, not bad. Is that the best on the machine?

For anyone evaluating an unfamiliar casino, vpfree2 only lists base paybacks, so sometimes the best games will be down the list because bonus feature value is not indicated.

South Point tops out at 99.73% NSUD, but actually a higher option is the 9/6 JOB multi-strike at 99.79%.

Your nominal 98.61% game pays 98.82% with the feature, afaik. Strategy is quite a challenge though.

Not sure of the exact numbers on the other paytables None on that machine hit 99 though. I haven’t found anything higher here than 99.54 except dollar pickem, but I hear they exist somewhere. I just can’t find em. Some nice hits on these pics. A tough game to get the strategy correct that multi strike. Not always logical. I almost always try and go up the ladder forgetting about one deuce and 2 more cards to a straight flush. Right or wrong I just hold the deuce on this game. The paytable on the spin poker game is very bad. About 97.5 or less. I only play it a short time with the clone because of the 80O for one feature on the Royal.

I've never played Deuces Double Bonus, so I don't even know the normal strategy. For multi strike bottom line strategy, the rule of thumb is to add 6 to each single-coin payoff. (For line 2 strategy, add 4, and line 3 add 2.)

I ran it through the Wizard's strategy generator and for bottom line, it looks like you could go for the straight flush if no gap. So 67 with a 2 would be held, but 68 would be discarded.

With no deuces present on the bottom, redraws are frequent. Any two to a royal should be discarded, apparently.

Thanks yes. I discard 2 to a Royal. I know it is an error, but on some deuces wild games depending on the paytable, I discard the cards with a gap too. Many times one ends up with a push by doing that and zI like to take as many tries as possible to stay alive till the Clone gets good hits. Especially with the clone. One particular annoying thing on Deuces Wild is the strategy requirement that you try for the full house when it pays 4 for one like on airport deuces. I always do go for the full house, but in an off cycle like today before I came home I must have whiffed 20 or 30 times going for the full house. That ate a nice chunk of my bankroll using the Clone. I never got a Royal last night or today, not even Deuces on quarters today, but I did catch 3 Wild Royals when I had lots of quarters bet with the Clone. All were in the low 20s bet. Just hitting those brought me back where I was able to quit, cash out, and go home up 100 for today and up about 60 bucks for last night.

I actually like holding 2 pair because if I discard a pair, I feel like I wasted it. But I do whatever the strategy says. These days I play either 98.9 or 99.7% Deuces with 2 pair as the correct hold. In earlier times, I put in some hours on FPDW where 1 pair was correct.
