The feast or famine trips have mostly been literally famine. But each week is another hand pay dream. I am certainly going to be more judicious about my pursuit now. Bob, weave and leave.

Stymied Saturday. I won $25 from $25 Caesars dollar JOB FP. I gave it back plus $110, all but busting. I lost my $25 table FP, four to seven craps. $150 ATM and Harrah's ride, determined to hit a quad and BE. I finally got a $100 quad. Deuces, of course. Left -$9 after $960 coin in and 48 TC. Satisfied with that session. But the damage was already done. Net Day: -$131. And could have been much worse.
HL: $10 5-K, $1,250. $5 DDB, $2,000. Congratulations, rich people.

FAA I don't quite understand the logic of the last sentence of your above post, care to expand?
Satisfied with that session. But the damage was already done.
Playing a few scattered hands here and there is not a workable VP strategy.   If you like doing that, you might as well play slots, roulette and the wheel of fortune along with VP.You didn't ask, but here's some advice based on my experience.  Pick one or two basic VP games.  Learn to play them well.  Play within your bankroll.  Stick with it, be patient and you will come close to the game's return.  If you enjoy pain, get a tattoo.   Most of my VP mistakes over the years have been self inflicted.   I overreacted to the effect negative game odds would have on my results.  I was so convinced that my losses were due to my inability to play positive games, I thought up numerous schemes in an attempt to overcome what I believed to be a "lose no matter what" proposition.  Game odds are significant, but they do not have the most influence on your results.  Discipline and patience are worth more than all the skill a player can possess.
Congratulations, rich people.
Like Ted, I'm not sure what you meant by this.  Playing bigger does not guarantee winning bigger.  For most players, the opposite is true.  When a Seven Star player in the high limit room spends two hours feeding tens of thousands of dollars into a video poker machine and you walk in just when they hit a 4AWK for $10K, it's looks wonderful.  If you congratulate them, they most likely won't tell you they are down $5K for the day or $20K for the week.  It's true they get a lot more attention, free play and comps and they pay for it.  Controlling losses (discipline) is more important in VP than engineering wins.  Do both well enough and you may quit your day job.

So so Sunday. Time to control losses and not engineer a win. I won $28 on $25 FP Caesars JOB. I won $25 table FP on a five point craps hit. I cursed the point and somehow won it anyway. This convinced me to cease all play. Back to the old days. Have a few laughs, make a few bucks and leave. I walked to Tony's for lunch and hit the visitor's bureau. Bailey's back at casino. Net Day: +$32. Just say no to agony. Check myself before I wreck myself. Store rewards comps 1:1 and has good sales.
Tightwad Timeline: 11:11 AM- Extra Draw Frenzy, $1,995. 1:45 PM- Double Top Dollar, $2,000. 11:50 AM- I walked past a dead seagull on Florida Avenue. I can't make it up. Stunningly ironic and a definitive omen not to resume gambling. Finally at peace with myself after a win and no fanatical impulse to lose 500% of it chasing riches. Keep it tight, keep my money right. Again, CRP. It's sarcasm, FYI.

Solid Saturday. Hang on to your hats. An actual triple digit win again. I won $10 on Caesars FP dollar JOB. I sensed that machine was hot and cashed out at $76. I lost my $25 table FP, five to seven craps. Lunch at Tony's. Back at Caesars, I considered Harrah's. But unfinished business called. I returned to machine and milked another $50, playing
very cheap. I just couldn't lose. Never touched my BR, which I regret. I left about $130 of potential in the machine. Net day: +$108. I recouped last week's drunken sailer fiasco. But, at least I did return for a much needed extra fifty with the one coin quad fives. Played scared, with commensurate results.
Even when I win fairly big, I have regrets.Jackpot of the Day: $2,265 TDB Extra Bonus Frenzy.

Fabulous Friday. Quarter JOB Progressive was $1,000.36. No way I'm playing. I took a photo of the machine with the payout, which was $1,037. I won $40 on dollar JOB FP, to $100 on another machine and left. I rolled myself a ten point craps win with table FP. Cursed point, still won. Reading on pier. Back to pursue quad. No dice, but full houses kept coming. Net Day: +$158. Yet I have remorse. I left a profitable machine, mainly because a guy arrived next to me and I like my space. An hour later I wandered back. He was on it and up to $390 playing JOB. I quit too soon!
I racked up 29 TC fairly stress free and never really used bankroll, which is such a luxury.Jackpots: TDB, $8,180. Sun Moon, $1,624. Double Diamond 2000, $5,400. Kitty Glitter, $3,100. Last three in HL, last two by same 7S guy.

Survival Sunday. I won $7 on $25 Caesars dollar JOB FP. Determined to quad, I lost it and another $40. Quarter JOB to calm down. I hit quads on adjacent machines to recoup $35. $25 table FP time. For the second consecutive trip, I rolled myself a winning ten! Harrah's for MS lunch and play. I was on major-$64 dollar JOB tilt when I hit a $75 quad and ran for the exit. Back at Caesars, I lost $40 on quarter JOB, then was losing on dollar. $75 quad; those 11 TC only cost five bucks. Net Day: +$5. Buy happy meal and count blessings, I guess. Forty useless TCs. Thrilled to escape town. Four quads barely got me in the black. You'd think I'd be up a hundred.

Fabulous Friday. I won $31 with Harrah's dollar JOB FP. Lost it, but quickly recouped. I hit both a min and max quad for $150 total. On the max coin deuces quad, I spun out of my chair and jumped for joy. Lost $25 table FP on a ten to seven craps. I did pocket $2 in chips abandoned for a token win! Left with 34 TCs and net +$113. Back at Caesars, I lost $6 on quarter JOB. Progressive $1,122, so I had to sample it. Abandoned it for dollar JOB and hit a FH; 1 TC and +$37. Net Day: +$150. Reporting from a frigid AC, this is hot FAA.
Jackpot: $1,250 Kitty Glitter, HL.
Est modus in rebus. - Horace
