Re: Why Banning Single Coin Players is Stupid
So where do we draw the line? Quarter single players or nickel full play players? They both play the same amount. Nickel players take up too many seats so let's get rid of them also. Now that I think about it maybe we should ban the quarter players as well. They consider a jackpot $1000 and take up a lot of casino space. Sarcasm of course, the point being once you burn and scatter ashes of one group when do you stop singling out particular people or groups because their VP philosophy is something you consider wrong, harmful or whatever your complaint may be. Maybe you should go back to posts you wrote in April 2016 asking about playing max coin. I wonder what you say to that billryan?
I asked about single coin because so many people here advocated it. Learned what a horrible choice it is and rightfully abandoned any thought of playing it.
When you learn from a mistake, it's a learning experience. When you not only keep making the same mistake but constantly advocate others to make it as well, you rightfully open yourself to ridicule.
A single coin player turned me into a newt.

Phil, I'm beginning to think that you are suffering from, what I refer to as "Al Bundy Symdrome." Al Bundy Symdrome relates to people like Al Bundy when he continually mentioned the time he scored 4 touchdowns in a single Polk High School football game like 30 years earlier. How old is that picture you posted? have you had a hit as good as that one in the past year? Two years? It's great that you made that one lucky pot shot (and I'm not taking that away from you) but just how many times have you done that while playing video poker? What is your ratio of single coin pot shots to your overall coin in? How many pot shots have you hit like in your picture?
How many times have you stated that you don't care how people gamble but yet you continue this single coin arguement?
As I've mentioned before: I do not play anything other than max coin. I also could care less about how another person plays. Having said this I have NEVER started a thread either advocating for max coin or single coin play. You've started several, including those advertising your cheap play system.
Others here state that they listen to what Bob Dancer says but yet they say they play single coin. To me that's akin to getting pitching advice from Randy Johnson but doing something different.
What an utter load of carp by someone who claims to know the game.
Check this post and you will see I was more than willing to leave the subject entirely until Bill Ryan started his rant all over again. If you don't like single coin play or you think it's stupid, take Mr. Dancer's advice and stay on the Strategy Forum. Burning them, banning them or crucifying them won't stop players from playing any way they want with their own money.Bill picks a fight with everyone who doesn't see the world his way. I voluntarily stopped posting on the Strategy Forum so Mr. Dancer would come back. He did and I'm glad. Mr. Dancer asked forum members that don't agree with us to stay off the Recreational Forum. Contrary to Mr. Dancer's request, Bill Ryan continues to post negative comments on our forum. He should stay on the Strategy Forum and leave this forum alone.

Thankfully, every post on this forum has an original time stamp. Two minutes of research will reveal how many posts phil made in the time betweem after he said he was done and my post.
Lets just say phils record of not being very familiar with the truth is not in any danger.
I'm pretty sure burning a player to death and scattering their ashes will stop them from playing that way. Phil somehow thinks the addiction will not end with death.

Billy, the difference between our playing styles is you believe video poker is beatable by using math. I believe winning is mostly luck. You see the game as a formula. I see the game as a wheel of fortune. It makes no difference what you or I believe. What matters is what happens when we play the game. A single coin $5 quad deuce pays the same as a max coin quarter royal only they are 9 times more frequent. The tickets are exactly the same and the money spends just as easily. We can argue forever which one is better. I don't care and you shouldn't either. I've told you I see the value of comps. I've also said I don't play single coin quarters anymore because I like getting comps. I get more comps when I play slots than VP. Does that make slots better? What it comes down to is who gets the rare jackpots and how often do they happen. Neither you nor I have control over that, so let's move on to something else.

If you want to be the queen and dictate who can post where and when, I suggest you get your own site. I promise I won't follow, and unlike yours, my promises are worth something.

This is possibly the dumbest thought process I've read on this site, and I've read some pretty dumb things.

You walk up to a video poker machine and play deuces wild with max coin quarters. You have a 1 in 45,000 chance of hitting a $1,000 royal. I walk into the high limit room with my $20 bill. I play single coin $5s with mine. I have a 1 in 5,000 chance of hitting a $1,000 quad deuce with my $20. This gives me a 9 times better chance of making $1,000 than you do. I have done this 4 times so far. Should I give the money back?

$1,000 is $1,000. The money spends the same. What is really stupid is that you guys think you have any control over what happens in a slot machine. A monkey could hit a royal if he was sitting in the right seat at the right time. I'll bet they give him free lasagna and a beer too!
