Finally a nice hit at Mohegan Sun

Why do you say that? And, if you don't use "useless" info like this to decide what to play, how do you decide?--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Frustrated reaction in convo w Olds; two 99.54% steamrolled victims. His otherwise awesome recent trip ended thusly: "I did give job an hour of play on quarters and halves. I gave back 300 bucks in just an hour. No quads
and only 2 full houses. Horrible dud streaks too on the 99
percent machines." I will never abandon 9/6. But a few visits at the dollar level to obtain the coveted quads in a fraction of the time seems a better option, given triple the bankroll. With a little luck I'll break even and pile up comps.

9/6 JOB can be a chore at times, but it is still VP and at 99.5%, usually thje best game most of us can find. I have had some $1.00 sessions at Borgata where I have won $500-$1,000 on dollar JOB withouth a royal. Unfortunately I have also lost that much at times. The older slant tops at Borgata, which are not server based seem to run hot and cold, but you can normally tell within a half hour or so, whateher you will have a good run or not.If I am holding my own without a quad for an hour or so, I know I am in good shape because the quads will eventually come. However some times I hit a quick quad or two, but nothing else and the 125 credit drain quickly. That is usually when I know I'n not in a good spot.

It's been a chore my last two visits, so I'm anxious to even the score. I need to get off my butt and head out to Borgata. Win, lose or draw, amazing energy and fun. Before noon, I may actually find a seat at the bar. Caesars/Bally's have become stale, especially when losing. My problem is I get too stubborn to leave a machine, even when I can tell it's a total drain! Too set in my ways. Gotta keep moving. Someone won $40,000 RF at Tropicana AC 8/5 JOB last week. Just a wild guess: he didn't need the money.

Thanks again gang. Ted's post reminded me of the 70's McDonald's commercial...you deserve a break today... which I just played on you tube. Actually, that was one of my first jobs along with the other bull work nasty ones. Back in the mid 60's it was takeout only. We could eat anything we wanted. Of course we made our own patties and made giant Cheeseburgers. I may even post in anything and everything some of the experiences back then when I worked there. Had a great time and to this day still run into some of the guys I worked with. Back then black or white it didn't matter. Only male employees though. We all worked as a team and got along great. And this was right around the time of the riots too. Some of us had great success stories later in life too. Now back to vp I guess. I may make a run up tonight at Mohegan. Have some use or lose freeplay. No room though. They are sold out with this heat wave. If anyone is going in the eve, post back here. I have lots of use or lose credits for the lounge I would be glad to share this eve.

I am almost embarrassed to write this post, well almost. I Went up to Mohegan last night late and played into the early morning. No room, so that part was a bummer. Sold out again with the heat. This trip, I played almost exclusively DDS varying the game between regular deuces wild and bonus deuces wild. I varied my play between quarters and dollar play. I had a quick chat with the person playing next to me about the huge amount of chain smoking drunk young people and especially the girls with the foul mouths. I hadn't noticed my machine had defaulted from quarters back to dollars. I bet five and saw the 3 deuces, but still didn't notice I was now on dollars. I hit double and up popped the last deuce good for 4 grand. I am now officially even for the 2016 year and we know what usually follows, but I will try and remain optimistic and see what happens. I only gave back a little by morning. I opted to just stay the night because when I hit the deuces, the bars had just closed and the drunks would have been all over the road on the highway. So I just took it easy, relaxed, took a long walk, played a little on just quarters and again was a happy camper for this trip.

Great luck for you olds, why should you be embarrassed to report on a fantastic hit? Congrats again.

should have noticed the default to dollars, but boy I'm glad I didn't. I usually don't make mistakes like that. Er uh plus I was kinda of distracted looking at beautiful drunk girl half falling out of mini black dress. I'm lucky I remembered to hit double before seeing the last card.

Played overnight last night at Mohegan Sun and into the early morning. Not a bad session really. I was playing on the dollar all star machine spin poker bonus deuces wild with a 98.8 paytable. The machine wasn't hot and it did have a general downward spiral. I was playing 3 lines at a dollar a line. Not worried about the royal, since this machine pays the correct amount of 800 for 1 for bet 1. Late in the session I hit quad deuces on one line with an ace which was good for 400 bucks and got me right around even. Actually when I cashed out, I was 32 bucks to the good and that is after tips for the waitress, so all in all not a bad session. I did have about a hundred bucks in free play and achievement award free play though so counting that, I was a loser. Still not a bad outing at all and I built up some more status points as well. Couldn't get a room Sunday night due to the show, but I am all checked in for today through Tuesday. The Mrs. and I will be going up late tomorrow night for an overnight and hopefully some more good fortune. If not, at least I have her company for the evening.

For me, it probably takes $200 to comfortably play an hour of 99.5% JOB. That's now my dilemma. The quarter games have become unplayable to a stunning degree.

That s.... FAA. For me and it seems for you too, over the years hitting a Royal leads to them getting it back in short order. It always seems to happen in the sessions following the Royal hit. Maybe I am better off just hitting quad deuces. I still only have 2 royals for the entire year I think anyway and have now exceeded one million hands played. For those who think that is BS and impossible, the math is simple. I go at least 3 times a week. Average play times a minimum of 8 hours. Lately I have been alternating between 3,4,and 5 lines on spin poker. Here is what the math looks like. 90 Trips so far...x 8 hours x 500 hands per hour x 3 lines =1,080,000 hands played. That is conservative too. Probably closer to 1.2m. Also when I play DDS, and don't have to hold cards, I play at least 1,000 hands per hour and probably more.
