Yes. But cigar man is one major PITA. That befuddled reaction was priceless. Lucky that I was also paid to stick around.

Update on Vegas: First confirmed case of coronavirus here . . . a local resident, who travelled to Washington state and Texas. Meanwhile, conventions are slowly cancelling, such as Adobe Summit, which would have brought in over 20K people to the Venetian.
I also heard today-- though not confirmed --that MAGIC is cancelling its event this August. MAGIC is here twice a year, this is the second event.
Then, I hear that the NHL is "monitoring" future events. Of course, I had recently posted that as a VGK STH, our last game had 18,000 fearless folks attending. This might get interesting, as playoffs are around the corner

so sorry people are canceling over the corona virus I believe there is other sicknesses just as bad. I wonder how many new cases of even tuberculosis are added each year or how many die from other types of flu.

The problem is the age group it affects the most which means many of the posters here and that is also the age group of many many regular gamblers. In fact some of the people that died from corona are my exact age 71 and close to 72. New Rochelle cancelled all visitations to nursing homes and assisted living facilities today. Thing is still a huge unknown with conflicting information from our own government coming out daily. For instance this what I have heard so far...... The virus can live on surfaces 3 days, the virus can live on surfaces 9 days, the virus can only live on surfaces 3 minutes, the virus attacts children, the virus doesn’t affect children, the virus mutated into another more dangerous one, there is only one corona virus that is contagious, the virus is still mutating, everybody is getting better,

Too much misinformation and the CDC, a Federal agency, didn't disseminate accurate information because they genuinely didn't KNOW. Not blaming them.
Part of the problem is those states which are heavily dependent on tourism (um, I'm thinking Vegas). Just today, our self-serving Democratic governor speaks out about being cautious, but that's it. I suspect the virus here in Vegas is way more widespread . . . . come on, folks, we have a huge Asian population, and even more visiting from Asian countries. Money talks. With the advent of cancelled conventions, our stupid Governor cares more about protecting our economy than protecting its citizens.

I thought most flights to and from China (and some other Asian countries) were suspended around the last week of January 2020 and since then all flights to/from China have been cancelled? And weren't flights to/from other countries that had a high frequency rate of positive tests suspended as well?

I don't know exactly when flights to/from Asian countries were suspended, and flights would have gone to CA airports, not McCarran.
The problem is the incubation period for symptoms to appear can be as much as 24 days.
Right now, both my spouse and I have symptoms of fever, runny nose and cough. Sounds like a classic cold to us. But what if it's not, and it takes us weeks to visit a doctor because it's not improving? Bingo. We haven't travelled anywhere, but we've been in lots of public places.
