Why Banning Single Coin Players is Stupid

The lighter side... playing for entertainment, less concerned about "the math."

No, because while conditions no longer exist in Colorado, they may pop up someplace else. It's been discussed on other forums, perhaps too much.

That makes sense.   Why would anyone tell the world how they could make that kind of money sitting in a casino?   My lawyer charges $200 an hour and he doesn't have to put up with anyone but me.   That's probably why he charges me so much.

But telling people to bet one coin, no 5, no one, wait 5, never play again until you do and then bet 1? That information is available for free.

I don't charge either.   If you actually knew how to beat the casinos out of hundreds of thousands, no wait, millions of dollars...  would you tell anyone else how you do it?

If the person is who I think Phil may be alluding to; I think this person has mentioned in the past that they DO NOT tell all their secrets.

I guess information is worth just what someone else is willing to pay for it, whether it be good or bad.
I guess information is worth just what someone else is willing to pay for it, whether it be good or bad.
That has always been the case.  Playing the best games with computer perfect strategy will let you play longer with your money.  I do not dispute that fact.  The key to hitting more jackpots is to play more hands.  You can do that by playing better games better.   I dispute the fact that mathematics alone will make you a long term winner.  A human being can never play enough hands in their lifetime to appreciably affect their results.  It would take many billions of hands to make a discernible difference. Video poker is a slot machine.  It's true you can make decisions on which cards to play or keep.  You can also use computers to calculate the theoretical odds of winning long term and determine which cards will give you the best chance of a win.   What computer mathematics will never be able to do is influence or predict what cards will appear while you are playing.

Quick show of hands.
Is anyone here surprised that a week after saying he was done with discussing this nonsense, he still is droning on about it?

You're right.  I shouldn't have asked you how to make $200 an hour playing Black Jack.  My bad...

FloridaPhil,

The black jack play was discussed on Bob Dancer and Richard Munchkin's radio show. Hear it at gamblingwithandedge.com

I find Black Jack interesting.   I can see the skill in Black Jack and lots of my friends play it.    I have a hard time seeing much skill in VP.     It's fun, but not all that challenging unless you like impersonating a computer.Sorry for being so negative.   I'm pretty burnt out on video poker right now.   Looking for something new.
