Re: The Path
Successful Saturday. Bally’s tested me. BP $60 quad took over forty minutes. Next was a $38 JOB quad after thirty minutes. Finally a $125 JOB quad after forty more minutes. I cannot complain. Three in two solid hours. On schedule, but too late to really profit. No FP. Net Day: +$50.

Great. Just pretend you found 50 bucks on the boardwalk. You will feel happier.

Sedate Saturday. I won $20 on $20 Tropicana JOB FP. I escaped the ancient, poor pay table machines for Bally’s. I somehow hit four quads in forty three minutes. Unfortunately, forty losing minutes preceded them. Spooked, I slashed bets to $1/$1.50. Hot machines, but cold feet. Net Day: -$48. 21 TCs, $1,050 coin in.

Cheaper than dinner with a date. And even better if the date didn’t go well.

Sad Saturday. I hit one quad in a 105 minute session. $200 max BP. Then I attempted a second session and busted. Net Day: -$295. 94 TCs.

Thank you for your compassionate reply. I will casino hop or try craps next time. About 1,200 hands. $4,700 coin in. Always be vigilant against greed.

The path is smooth and hardened sand. However, there are ruts here and there where one could easily turn an ankle. There are also old cobblestones that are slippery when wet and it is not easy to decide if they are safe to tread upon. Finally, there is the occasional tree root that can easily send one flying in the wrong direction, meaning always down and never up. As one rounds one of the twisted turns, in the distance and not too far away can be seen the destination. That being, the vague and very elusive Hand Pay, just waiting to be plucked from the branch where it patienty hangs. It will hopefully be stuffed into the traveler’s backpack for safekeeping only to be throughly enjoyed at some later but not too distant date......Olds......

Sedate Saturday. I hit three Bally’s quads in a 58 minute span, two JOB and one BP. But all $25. I lost $100 in a cold cycle. Fortunately, I strolled to Ocean and was +$52 there. Nice lunch specials nostalgia. Net Day: -$5. 29 TCs, $1,450 coin in. Frustrated, yet relieved that it was not another utter disaster.
