He provided me with software and documentation to identify the best VP games and utilize computer perfect VP play.Even a player who plays disadvantaged games like me benefits greatly from this. From my perspective, here are the negatives.    He mocks players that don't have his advantages, calling them stupid or stating they are paying his bills.    He comes across on this forum as insensitive and elitist.    He doesn't answer questions if he thinks you will disagree with him or if he feels answering your question has no value to him personally.I don't believe Bob the person is like this at all . . .

/QUOTE]

The Wizard of Odds forum (Michael Shackleford) provides teaching software at no cost, AND Mr. Shackleford has the genuine credentials to be analyzing the math of VP or any casino games.
All without the Dancer attitude as a side dish.

Phil, you can believe Dancer isn't "like this at all", but the facts speak loudly here on this forum. His intentional divisive and inflammatory schtick negates any reasonable words. Again, the FACT that you are banned from the Strategy forum, or Dancer would take his toys and stomp off, would not happen anywhere else. Ridiculous.

As I've said before, I hope you keep posting, but try looking at other forums that are helpful and friendly.

I think not posting in the Strategy forum was FP's idea and agreement, with the condition that a Recreational forum be started for him to discuss his own play strategies that differ from AP play. It was a winning idea because his own strategies are meant to be discussed on different terms (entertainment value) than traditional ones (advantage play) and it was distracting when the differing views mashed in numerous strategy threads.

Correct me if I'm wrong on that, FP.
What a waste it is, to lose ones mind.
Webman, it is not fair for me to be banned from parts of this forum while allowing Bill Ryan to insult me after every post I make.   I do not wish to be part of the Strategy Forum on a regular basis.  Bob Dancer recently posted that I do not know what I am talking about.   I disagree and should be allowed to respond.  He disagreed with another member on the Recreational Forum and was allowed to rebut what they said.  What's good for him should be good for everyone equally.   What we want is an open forum free from personal insults.  Bill Ryan does not seem to be able to comprehend that.   I have no problem with members disagreeing with me or anyone here as long as they act like adults. There is no reason for him to post as he did above.  If we can not straighten this out, there is no reason to have a forum.  If Bill Ryan and Bob Dancer stop calling me names, flinging insults or using the Strategy Forum to disparage me, I will stop posting about them in return.  Otherwise, you can ban me altogether and we will have what they want, one long continuous Dancer commercial.  Sooner or later you will have to ban everyone.  I want to talk about real video poker, not VP in a bottle or in some computer simulaton.  The games most of us play are negative.  The majority of the games on this website are as well.  Bob Dancer does not play these games.   I believe I have something of value to add to that discussion.   I can not participate if all my posts are followed up with some foolish comment that means nothing.  Who benefits from that?  If you want this forum to be of help to VP players, stop the attacks.

FP,
You are correct that some comments in this thread have been out of line. There haven't been any complaints until now and it was refreshing to not have to step in and just let adults have their conversation. But there has to be a line somewhere, and it seems we have crossed it.

Billyran, you are of course welcome to state your opinions about the subject and disagree, but please refrain from what can easily be seen as personal attacks. This will serve as your first warning. Thanks.

I have no problem with legitimate commentary as long as it sticks to video poker.  Everyone is entitled to their opinions as am I.  There is no need for personal attacks or to say someone doesn't know what they are talking about, especially when we are not talking about the same games.  Bob Dancer's video poker is not my video poker.   It's not even the average video poker.   If you can play those games like he does, I have nothing to add.

That's all well and good. My fat ass remark may have crossed a line.
I'm just not sure how to respond to the outright lies phil throws out at me on a seemingly weekly basis. Any suggestions? Perhaps I'll start a thread listing all his lies.
Trying to have a conversation with someone so dishonest seems like a waste of time.

someone made a fat ass remark?  how'd  I miss that?I'm not in favor of suspending or banning anyone.....it's indicative today of how thin skinned and entitled people in general feel, and how vindictive and mean spirited they are that they demand such things when they cannot adequately defend themselves against smarter, more clever more eloquent posters.....or because they don't have the self control to just ignore or move on., gotta always get the last word in because they actually think people are watching THEM first and foremost (when in reality no one gives half a dog turd.)I love this ongoing debate between phil and Bob/Billy.....it is NOT the same as the inane childish, completely pointless crap I allowed myself to become embroiled in over the years, even though I have been personally vindicated as at least not "instigating" the crap in the first place. The intensity with which people seem to go after Floridaphil is peculiar and hard to fathom......if you guys really truly think Floridaphil is dishonest and full of crap (which I myself DO NOT), why do you get so bent out of shape about it?      When someone is spouting off stuff I KNOW is totally BUNK and a crock of shiiite, I tend to laugh it off and ignore it, it's nothing.   Let 'em rant all they want......What's clear to me is, people whose lives literally revolve around casinos and gambling tend to be NOT the kind of people you want to be around at any level of interaction.......I personally COULD NEVER EVER (physically or psychologically) spend the majority of my days, all day everyday, tooling around casino to casino chasing down all these crappy gifts and comps and drawings and contests and fatty food  etc etc.   But that's just me.......'If a person is TRULY happy spending their life in a casino, so be it.....it's just, from my experience and what I have seen and learned over the years, such people are in fact not happy or do not in fact APPEAR to be happy....quite the opposite is true, Casino Denizens tend to be irritable, angry, frustrated, miserable people.

I asked a certain someone here to ignore me as well. But the vitriol and bile continued to rain. Combative casino critters sure love their catnip.

You can not win converts with insults. You must use patience, logic, understanding and back up your claims with verifiable documentation.

I have been doing EXACTLY this ever since I got here. Have I really converted anyone on this forum?!?!?! I am not sure that I have.

But I'm here because I love the game and love the math behind a "Vegas Style" legal game (aka Class III VP). If casinos are breaking the law behind my back, I can't defend anything, other than saying I "believe" you are wrong.
