Off to Cherokee

We're leaving tomorrow morning on another Video Poker adventure. This time it's Cherokee North Carolina. We're so over the Florida summer and looking forward to a couple of days of cooler weather. So far this year, I'm still up over $5K and hanging in there. I'm still playing my single coin progressive system but have been able to switch to dollar play and I'm loving it. Played 5 hours last Tuesday and came home even again, which to me is a win. Anyway, I hit a Royal last night on my computer, so maybe it's an omen of things to come...

Enjoy the trip Phil and Hi to the Mrs....PS...I hit deuces quads yesterday at Mohegan, but it was on job. Toiled for several hours mostly using 1 coin quarters and also the same method on Double Down Stud. Finally gave up and decided to see if I could make some gas money for a few minutes on job just playing 5 straight quarters. I got the gas money, but as you can see above, ouch!

Nothing too exciting to report. Deuces didn't seem to be working, so I switched to DDB and got lucky in the last two hours. Over all, an enjoyable trip. They are building a new casino in Murphy NC. We drove by and they are moving half a mountain to build it. Should be a winner with Atlanta players. Hard to believe Georgia doesn't want this tax money. Go figure....

When I lived there (2008-2010), you still couldn't buy booze at stores on Sunday. The Jesus is still very strong in that state.
I wonder how the new casino will affect Cherokee. It should divert av lot of their customers to Murphy.

The new casino will be about 1/3 of the size of Harrah's Cherokee, with room to grow. They will market to Atlanta and Chattanooga.
My trip will be about cut in about in half, so I am happy about that.

Jesus had nothing to say about gambling. I devoted a page to this topic at
http://www.cheapvideopoker.com/is-playi ... moral.html .
Man creates all kinds of problems for himself and organized religion is right at the top of the list. At least 2/3rds of the problems in the world are caused by this kind of thinking. If people would just read what Jesus actually said, they would be a lot better off. Sorry for the rant...
