Video Poker Forum Get Together?
Why don't we plan a Video poker get together some day? If we plan it far enough in advance, we may get some good participation. I realize we all have different thoughts about the game and our bankrolls are all over the place, but it's all video poker. What do you think?

I thought videopoker.com has an annual get together in Las Vegas. If so, webman may want to have a forum social as part of that event.

The Las Vegas Meet and Greets (MNG's) have been put on hiatus. It's been a couple years since one was held.

Maybe it's time to resume the MNGs? Never been to one and depending on timing, not sure we could go. However, it would fulfill Phil's suggestion.

Las Vegas? Sounds good to me. Maybe VPF could put together some good rooms and a couple thousand dollars in free play?

I'm kind of looking for a reason to sneak off to Vegas by myself. My wife doesn't care for it and I sure would like to see one of those elusive 100% games everyone keeps talking about. Any of you Florida guys want to go along?

That sounds good Phil, but unfortunately, I can't stray that far from home for now due to the folks situation. I might be able to put another one together on the East Coast at Mohegan Sun due to all of the contacts I have there. If there is any interest for an East Coast one as well let me know...Take care...Olds...

If you do somehow end up going to Vegas I would suggest the SouthPoint casino as one of the places to stay or part of the casino hopping. It is located south of the McCarran airport while the strip is located to the north so you will be able to avoid the strip.
They do not have any 100% games (they really do exist in Vegas), but they have a plethora of over 99% return games there for quarter denomination there, you can get 0.30% cashback for your play at $1 for 1 point. 300 points gets you a meal at their buffet, so 240 quarter hands (about 30 minutes of play) will get you a meal. You may be able to attend one of Bob Dancer's classes if you are around on a Wednesday. There are enough amenities where you would not need to leave the casino other than doing shopping or golfing. It might change the way you think of Vegas from the past.
Only downside is I heard their offers (for bouncing back on a future visit) are not too good for out of town visitors.

While we stay at Red Rock or GVR given their great comps for accommodations and beautiful casino with loads of VP machines, we usually go to Southpoint at some point as it is a nice casino. Also the sushi restaurant just off the casino floor is excellent.
