We're leaving Sunday morning for a week of Colorado video poker bliss.  Staying at the Ameristar.  If the weather allows, we will drive down to Cripple Creek for a day.  Yes, we will be playing max coins.

I have drove my car to Vegas from the Detroit area and went right by Blackhawk by staying on highway 70. Really did not know anything about it until you mentioned it.

Perfect Timing! - we had a couple of feet of snow last weekend - gone now... today was in the high 70's. If you get a chance - travel a little further "up the hill" to Central City to the Reserve - More VP machines there...

We love Central City!!   It's got that old casino feel that you lose with these new glitz palaces.  We'll take time to post while we're there.  Yes, we fly into Denver and rent a car.  Blackhawk is an easy hour drive from the Denver Airport.  The altitude takes a little getting used to, but it's not that bad.
