Bonus Deuces Wild Paytable
I was just wondering if anyone has access to this paytable at their casino. I have one dollar machine I can play at Mohegan Sun with this paytable with the spin poker option only on an All Star machine. It also pays the correct amount for the Royal for just bet 1. The return long term is 98.8% The paytable is as follows...800/400/200/25/80/40/20/13/4/3/3/1/1. The most unusual part to me is the 800 for the Royal and 13 for the straight flush. All the other machines I have seen pay 12 for the straight flush. I have been playing this for a while and holding my own even though I haven't hit a Royal on it yet. So far 5 Aces have come in every session from 1 to 5 times bailing me out even if the quad deuces haven't come in for the session either.

This pay table returns 98.80%. It is indeed rare but I remember playing it in the Chicago area at the Majestic Star 11. I could be wrong but I seem to remember that pay table

The M Resort in Vegas has the 98.8% return table.
Although you are getting 13 for 1 on a straight flush on that pay schedule, the biggest thing to pay attention to is the 3 for 1 full house payout. Aside from the possibility of even lower 12 for 1 straight flush payout, there also exist uglier pay schedules which also reduces flushes to 2 for 1, you will have to pay close attention to that as well.
A 3 for 1 full house on deuces wild has an impact towards the strategy where you will not hold 2 pairs, you keep the lowest one (Aces count as the lowest) and toss the higher pair in hopes of more 4 of a kind or 5 of a kind.
I am on a down streak on Bonus Deuces Wild, even money pay for straights is taking its toll.

Right on all IGT machines, the games I see pay 13 for 1 on the straight flush pay 3 for 1 on the flush (98.80%), but the games that pay 12 for 1 on the straight flush only pay 2 for 1 on the flush (96.22%).
Now I have seen a Bally unit before that paid 12 for 1 on the straight flush and 3 for 1 on the flush (98.28%). IGT has always downgraded to 10 for 1 on the straight flush and 3 for 1 on the flush (97.36%). Big gap between that and 98.8%.

I have been following all of the math rules for this paytable so far. The one I may stray from, but I have to see how much of an error it is would be to keep a lone deuce and a lone Ace instead of tossing the Ace. Like I posted, the 5 Aces have been bailing me out, but if this comes up as an expensive error, I will just play the way I have been playing.

We are currently at Harrah's Laughlin. They have this game on multiline machines for 5 or 10c.
I expect to play a ton of 50 line 5c over the next several days.

Just so that I am understanding:
First Card: Deuce
Second Card: Ace
Other Three Cards: Non Ace or Non suited royal to the ace
I did a hand analysis on the Wizard of Odds page.
It seems that the difference between keeping the Deuce and Ace and keeping the lone Deuce is about 0.3 to 0.4 coins. For 5 quarters, that will be 8 to 12 cents loss on average. But if you are allowed to play single coin dollars, it will be 6 to 9 cents loss on average.
If it is about going for the 5 Aces.
Holding the lone deuce and discarding the ace will give 12 possibilities out of 178365. 1 in 14863 chances.
Holding both the deuce and the ace will give 19 possibilities out of 16215. 1 in 853 chances, so you are right that the chance of 5 Aces is much better.
I think this situation will come up quite frequently to a point where the losses will accumulate to a few dollars a trip. I personally would not do it, but Bonus Deuces Wild is a top heavy game, where those 5 of a kinds can make the difference of someone winning or losing over the short run.

Good find and choice of game given the situation with Caesars Entertainment. I was wondering if you were pursuing Diamond or Seven Stars status playing that game.

Thanks for the replies and appx cost of this error too Alpax. Just back from another session on the same game and machine. Caught quad deuces once and 5 Aces twice. Heavy on other 5 of a kinds, but light on wild royals. I was playing 3 lines at a buck a line and was way up ( close to 400 bucks ) when the inevitable dud streaks caught up with me and I finished down for the session. I did stick to the rules on the correct cards to hold. Still Royalless since jan This was a really long session and I guestimate 600 hands per hour x 11 hours total x 3 = 19,800 hands played. Hard to believe, but close to 750k hands without a Royal. Had only 2 shots where I needed one card in all of those hands. I really have to accept the downward tilt of the sine curve on this and most games and just quit when ahead a fairly nominal amount. That is the hardest thing to do of all. Been working on it for only about 35 years if not more. One sort of funny side note. Wife and I have been playing mostly on my card just to finish up and hit the level 3 this cycle so I can start playing at Foxwoods and still stay at Mohegan till I build up at Foxwoods.. Only 88 more status points to go now and this Sun. Mohegan has triple status points to boot. Anyway getting back to the story, wife pulls my card from her nickel machine and puts her own in. Switches the game to the usual bad paytable DDB game and hits a royal in 5 minutes. Good for her. By the way, I haven't even been counting the hands played without a Royal on her play on the nickel games with the card in. If I did, I think it would be about 800k hands total on my card without a royal since this Jan.
Edited to add one final note from this session. Assuming I did play 19,800 hands on this dollar game at a buck a hand, I should have lost about 1.2% or about 240 bucks in round numbers. That is pretty close to what I lost within 50 bucks so that isn't bad considering no royal hit and only one quad deuce when I should have had nearly 4 in that amount of hands. Still no excuse for not bailing out when ahead close to 400 bucks. I think if all of us learned to do this, the casinos would close.

Not a problem olds, I hope luck turns in your favor soon. Bonus DW or any DW is also brutal to the bankroll if you are not getting your share of quad deuces.
I think Foxwoods require dollar denomination for their good pay tables. With the luck that the Mrs. is getting with the royals, probably it might be a good time to raise the stakes a little.

Unfortunately with the dynamics of the various games in the casino, not every player is ahead during their stay. So the casinos will be around.

Made a quick stop at Mohegan today on the way home from my brother's family picnic. Caught quad deuces on a nickel game and picked up eighty bucks. The wife picked up a hundred playing nickel bonus poker Ultimate x by a nice hit times 11 on a quad and a couple of quad 4s with multipliers. Today we were smart...hit and ran...Triple status points today, but missed most of it due to family obligations.
