Any good advice for new JB players? I can not hit a hand off anything, pairs do not seem to hit, and trying to hit a royal does not even get close.

You might want to include advice for staying awake....sorry, just not my game...I enjoy a faster pace with multipliers; good luck to you, though.

Know and follow correct basic playing strategy, play 9/6 JOB, and play within your comfort zone and budget.
The hits will come. Yes, "plain jane" JOB is less exciting than some other games, but that's the price you pay for a low variance game. If you can find some good multiline JOB - there can be a lot more fun.

More info: casino or online practice? Follow The Path. As I recount, it is difficult to approach break even.

To me Jacks or Better is about as much fun as playing the change machine if they charged you to use it.

Hang in there. You're not the only one waiting for a royal.

My paint dried, my grass grew. JOB is my last resort.

Advise on JOB:
1. Play only 9/6 version, play 9/5 or 8/6 or 8/5 as long as a nice progressive Royal is with it. (Those numbers mean payout for full house and flushes).
2. Be patient. Statistically speaking, will hit a 4
Of a kind every 420 hands, straight flush every 9100 hands, and a royal flush every 40,000 hands approximately.
3. It may not be the most exciting game, but has the lowest variance (bankroll swings) of any vp game and can really make the money last,
Play longer, earn more points, yadda yadda.
4. Good luck! Get practice in and get corrective software so you can correct mistakes.
Cheers

9/6 CET players will actually earn less points with their $50 per TC system. Grass is never greener there. I may bite the bullet and shift play to Borgata in 2017. Tastes like Vegas!

The game is not my forte and I don't know the online lingo for it as it's kind of boring to play jacks or better but hold cards of any winning combination. You will want to hold on to four cards that will take you to any straight flush, royal flush, or simple flush. Don't hold cards that are only leading to a simple flush as the return is not worth it in the end. Keep any pair on hold, and a high pair is a winning combo. The high card is a Jack, King, Queen, or Ace. Pairs of any of those mentioned lead to a winning combo. All pairs are worth holding because of all three of a kinds payout. At the very most hang on to two high cards when trying for a high pair that's all I can remember from playing a while ago. I haven't played in forever.
