[/quote]You need to buy a copy of Dancer's Video Poker for Winners software.   Everything you will ever need is in it.  This forum is divided into two forums for a reason.  When I came here over 8 years ago, all we had was the Strategy Forum.  I was constantly butting heads with people who only see video poker as mathematics.   I believe video poker should be played and enjoyed any way the customer wishes.   I asked for a separate Recreational Forum and the web administrator complied.  This should have solved the problem, but a few malcontents still weren't happy.   I agreed to be blocked from posting on the Strategy Forum in the hope that Mr. Dancer would return.  With his return, they may leave us alone.There is no right or wrong way to play this game.  There are ways to maximize the game financially, but that may not be what the player ultimately desires.  When I go to the casino I am not interested in extracting the last .2% of return from each hand.  My lifestyle does not depend upon winning at video poker.  All I want is recreation for a few hours with a chance to hit a decent jackpot.  That may include playing single or multiple coins, walking out ahead or setting a stop limit on my loses.  If the things I desire conflict with long term mathematics, so be it.There are many members of this forum that agree, but are afraid to post.  The Recreational Forum should be a place free from controversy.   I hope the peace holds, but I'm not confident it will.  Sooner or later someone will post something derogatory and it will start all over again.   Let's hope for the best.

The biggest advantage of VPW is the ability to simulate real casino play by setting your denomination and bankroll.  In most other software, like on this website, you are playing for credits.  With VPW software you can change your denomination as you play allowing you to vary your bet.  This comes in handy if you play like most of us who do not take an unlimited amount of money into the casino.  It also allows you to see the real time effect of increasing or reducing your bet.

I can't get my credits to go back to 200. Do you know how to do that ???

Bill,I haven't played there in a long time,but if I remember correctly,one of the buttons changes to add credits when you run out.

I found the "answer" to my own question. When you come back in it resets the statistics (like number of games played and wins, etc) to zero. So that solves my problem. The running coins won is not relevant then.

That is a great site.

You can determine what the expected return is on any pay table of any game, and for 1 coin or the max of 5 coins.
Plus you can learn (buy playing) how best to play it.

Gold member on videopoker dot com is one way to set paytables. Another is winpoker or zamzone.com which I use on my iPhone.
